Solved: There was a piece of fabric caught in the water drain pump. Opened the cap at the back bottom right of the washer and pulled it out. Worked fine after that.

When I first started using my washer when I hooked up the water it would fill the hose and then stop until I started the machine. Now when I hook up the washer to the faucet water starts to fill the machine before I close the lid and before I start the washing process....? The last time I used the machine it didnt drain and I had a flood, is there a problem with it now???

I have a GE washer model# 175D2750G041 after the washer fills up with water and starts to spin to wash it makes a awful noise but only when spinning to wash not spin to drain water . what could it be

Your question is confusing. A washer doesn’t spin when it washes. It agitates. A washer fill with water, agitate, drain then spin water out. Please reword your question.

My GE SpaceSaver Washer/dryer will wash, but when it's time to rinse and spin the machine stops. It will not drain, riinse , or spin.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Spacemaker spin cycle problem

you may have something stuck in the drain pump......

first try using a wet/dry vacuum attach it to the drain hose and try to **** out what ever you have stuck in there... if that works you are good... if not you will have to get open the cabinet to get to the drain pump

Constant rattling noise during operation

possibly the "stirrer" motor - this is in the top and turns a metal reflecting ring to disperse the microwaves around the oven more evenly. About $70 on GE site for my oven.

Washer won't drain

The switch located to the top which is activated by the lid is bad. replace that and your washer will be fine.
