The code is a10 this is normally a heating issue but could also be a foaming problem which could also be your poor washing results put a cleaner through with a lime scale remover
I switched it off at the wall and left it for a minute and set the dial to Stop and then set it again from the beginning and so far it has been fine. Thanks, DCD
I had the same problem recently and a repair person came to my home to fix the dishwasher. He said he had to reset the control panel. He did this simply by making sure the soap dispenser door inside the washer was closed, then making sure the main dishwasher door was closed and locked. Then he quickly pushed the Heated Dry button and the Hight Temp wash button alternately. He said each button needed to be pushed twice within five seconds. After he did this all the lights on the control panel came on, then turned themselves off before the washer went in to a test cycle. This simple reset fixed the whole problem. Works great so far.
try doing button setting change from "Hi-Temp Wash - Normal - Hi-Temp Wash - Normal" sequence of button selections.
This must occur within 6 seconds and initiates an internal diagnosis of the machine. The process runs for about 19 min. and shuts off During the process several LED's light up and several funtions start and stop. If the machine has no broken systems, you should be able to open the
door add some soap and the usual dirty dishes and carry on with normal
operation.
this is the method to reset the machine. Most likely is that there were suds in the last cycle or the door doesn't close smoothly.
If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...
When
the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will
stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all
buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the
element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...
...all
the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.
If
the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit
(ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could
also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed
(slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door
when you close it).
This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain, you have the right as a consumer to do so.
although the light may be a true indication of a pending problem, try this test:
Find the circuit breaker and switch it off to remove power to washer for 30 minutes. Then power back up. Any changes? If light still on, then threat of trouble is real and must be fixed. Not sure what to CLEAN, though. Search for manual online...I'm sure Kenmore put that light on for a real purpose.
