Kill disk crashed my notebook cant restart nothing on screen except flashing curser

Your hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it. The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB... Remove the hard drive and re-seat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

On a Acre Aspire 5315, on boot up, after the bios splash screen all i get is a black screen with a flashing curser.. i have tried different windows disc's to try to get it to do anything but no...

press and hold f8 to reach your boot options menu, then select safe mode without networking. you may be automatically redirected to a windows repair utility. If this is the case, let it run, it will take a while to complete. The system will then restart itself and attempt to boot again. If this does nothing for your, try pressing and holding f12 on boot up and select the system repair/scan option. If all else fails, You can download and burn HBCD iso and run the partition recovery program. but you should be able to boot without it..

GOOD LUCK AND PLEASE RATE THIS POST!!!!

Friday it was fine, tonight i open my computer to enter password but screen is blank and curser is not working. Tried power shut down and restart but nothing happens.

Restart your notebook and open it on safe mode...then use system restore or if you have installed an antivirus before it happens uninstall it..

All I get is a blank screen with a blinking curser

your system maybe having a hard time accessing on your boot up drive, going into bios and setting up the hard drive with an operating system intalled on first boot may fix your problem.

Dear user,
if you are trying to access bios for setup of CD ROM as a first boot device and having problem to access the bios then here is an advice for you.

most of notebooks or systems have a special key assigned to select the boot device at startup without entering in bios setup. therefore please hit function keys at startup like F9,F11,F12 when you start system. F9 and F12 keys are most commonly used for boot device selection.

hopefully you will understand my advice.
