if you are installing a new mother board and chip go straight to win 10 as win 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft and win xp is a waste of time as many programs now will not run on it
Since you want to upgrade your video card to a much powerful one, you can check this out ATI Radeon HD 4670 HD4670 512MB DVI PCIe Video Card.
Doing the upgrade a power supply upgrade is also advisable since new video card like now requires a high power supply, upgrade the power supply to at least 500W and for a additional fan is already recommended to avoid any overheating problem.
I would suggest you not to go for a processor upgrade, if you want to play games. You should consider upgrading your graphics Card(GPU). The processor that you mentioned above is enough for playing High-end games when combined with a good graphics Card. Upgrading your processor will boost very little game performance. But when you will upgrade your graphics Card. You will notice great boost in game performance and more new games will be supported.
Two major manufacturer of Graphics Card are NVIDIA and ATi. You can opt any one of them. Nvidia GPUs are considered as a Good Performer. But also ATi is known for its long lasting life. Both the manufacturers produces a long list of models. Opt for the one that suits your Budget and the performance.
Hope this will help for sure.....
your cmos battery(CR2032) is FLAT. you need to replace it. you then need to CLEAR the cmos so it doesnt contain corrupt values. that process erases any passwords. usually the jumper is next to the battery . fit new battery. move jumper to CLR position(shorting pins) wait a few seconds. move jumper back across to NRM(normal) position. start the pc, enter the BIOS, load DEFAULTS, SAVE and reboot. enjoy.

The amber power light indicates that your computer has been "sleeping" or "hibernating" and usually all it takes to restart the computer is tapping a key on the keyboard. If this is not the case, try holding the Power switch down for 6-10 seconds to force the system off. Restart in Safe Mode and try to find the settings for Sleep/hibernate, open the control panel and open the Screen Saver. Select "Change Power Settings" and set it for "Never" on sleep and hybernate.
