Turn power off at service panel (220 volt circuit breaker). Remove screws from heating element mount on wall of oven. Pull heating element from wall of oven far enough out to see the where the wires/lugs are screwed to the heating element leads. Remove these screws. Replace element. Make sure screws on heating element lugs/leads are tight -- if not tight, arcing will occur.

When I switch the bottom oven switch on the fuse blows in the electric box. Please can you advise if a wire is loose and how to fix it.

Sounds like your element might be blown and shorting. Switch the appliance OFF. You should be able to remove the element without removing the oven. Open the door and remove the back panel, normally 4 screws. This will expose the element. Then it should be 3 or so screws holding the element to the frame, remove these and slowly pull the element towards you carefully, then remove the 2 wires from behind and make sure they don't fall back into the oven as you will need to remove the back panel to get them. Then reverse process to install new element. Hope this helps.

We own a Bosch (Built-in) oven HBN4305.0B and the top grill/oven element has failed. Can you please advise on replacement procedure

With the power turned off it is usually a case of, in most ovens, just removing the element by unscrewing two screws. Unclip the wiring and make a note of what wires go where. Find a new one and install in reverse procedure.

I have a hotpoint ew91 oven that stopped working after tripping house fuse. after resetting fuse fan works but no heat.

It is most likely that the oven heating element has failed which caused the house fuse to trip.

The replace the heating element will mean taking the back off the oven and removing the old heat element by undoing the fixing screws and the electrical connectors( normally this surrounds the fan assembly).

Fitting the new heat element should then be straight forward.

Remember to disconnect the power to the oven before removing the back.

I have an older Frigidaire range model # RGC-32 BA. This past week, the lower element inside the oven stopped working. Can I order the element separately and are there any "tricks" to removing the old one...

do an ohm's test on the element if it reads around 25 ohms it's ok, might just be the connecting wire itself, look for charring on the wire connected to the element.if the element reads open then it's bad.
you will need to unscrew the terminals that hold the wires on. unscrew the element from inside the oven.
replace by reversing the proceedure.

The oven does'nt seem to be able to heat up above 150, the fan is working, the bottem half of the oven does'nt seem to heating up. Is this fixable or do i need a new oven?

Hi.

If the part that is not heating is only the bottom element, and the top element is heating regularly, then you may need to replace the lower element.
Before replacement the element can be tested removing it from the cavity and reading Ohms at the element terminals, with a multimeter set at Rx1. Disconnect power before removing the element.

If both baking and broiling element do not heath above a certain temperature instead, then the part to be replaced is the temperature probe, still located inside the oven cavity.

Grill wont stay on

Hi.

If this is an electric model, test the upper element. Before replacement the element can be tested removing it from the cavity and reading Ohms at the element terminals, with a multimeter set at Rx1. Disconnect power before removing the element.

If this is a gas oven, and the grill igniter is working, then test wiring to valve, valve solenoid and safety switch.

Regards.

Main fan oven does not work, conventional main oven does work

The element is where you said and yes it can be replaced without removing the oven. Remove the bacplate from inside the oven and you will see the element and fan. Remove the screws from the element and gently pull it forward then remove the 2 wires and keep hold whilst you fit the new element. Replace screws in the element refit the backplate job done.
