I recently purchased a badger lecoultre master compressor memovox with an alarm pre otroubled am having trouble setting the alarm. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

The date changes around midnight and you can usually advance the date by going past midnight until the date changes and then turning the watch backward to a time shortly before midnight and then winding it forward again.

How far back you need to go you will have to find by experiment but it should not be very far.

cousinsuk.com choose branded watch parts, select the brand and search. They are in England but I use them all the time, you have to go through there little signup procedure but whatever it takes, right?

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like you need the watch serviced, specially if not so in 2 years. Check the repair service directory here at Fix Ya, bottom of the page click on repair service directory then watches.

mcdevito75 here, It does seem to be a hard way to set the date. I would imagine to you have stem and not buttons, Try this slip your fingernail just under the stem (winder) and lift the stem to it"s first position, now turn the stem either toward or away from you to change the date easily.

It might be worth having the back of the watch removed to see if there is anything engraved on the movement.

You might find that cleaning the watch gets is going, although the advice of the watch repairer should be asked for on this, as it might be very worn and in need of new parts which are unlikely to be available.

If it works and there is information on the movement, you might be able to get some information on the watch from the maker. Visit their web site (www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/) and make an inquiry, giving them all the information that you have.

Yes, but for an authentic Jaeger-lecoultre watch it will be very expensive.

Setting the alarm:

1. Pull the crown to the 2nd "click" (the possition you adjust the time) (Carefull: The seconds hand has to be on "12")
2. Press repeatedly button "B" to set ALARM hands to the time indicated by the main time hands (The ALARM hands move quickly if button B is kept pressed)
3. Push the crown to normal possition
4. Pull the crown to the 1st "click".
5. Press repeatedly button "B" to set the desired alarm time. (The ALARM hands move quickly if button B is kept pressed)
6. Push back the crown in to normal position.

At the designated time the alarm rings for 20 seconds, and it is automatically disengaged as it stops. To stop it manually, press button A or B.
