AVN7000 jumping out of radio mode

While driving along listenting to the radio it will suddenly just jump out of radio mode and go to the info mode jumpingout of the radio mode. Sometimes it jumps from radio mode to CD, or Sirus. I then have to go through and put it back into the radio mode in order for the radio (or what ever mode I want to listen to) work. Anyone experience this?

Yeah its the face clip... mine use to do that but it would just do it with the volume only though... you have to call eclipse and get them to send you a new one... i think it cost a lil over 450 for it... sucks i know but thats the only way to fix it... the AVN7000 unit had alot of lil problems like that when they 1st brought them out...

2003 Grand AM alternator replaced after engine stopped and jump did not work. After fix, no radio...no lights at all. I replaced fuse with no luck. Not locked because no radio lights at all.

If the old alternator was bad, then very likely the battery is low on charge.

Jumping and banging noise

probly a hidden vacuum leak like an egr valve--throttle body may need cleanin along with the idle air and motor area----get car on a diagnostic machine also to help pinpoint

it sounds like the USB connector on the face place of the radio has a cracked solder joint. i suggest taking it to a person that know how to solder small objects. your Kenwood has a one year manufacturer warranty it could be some thing to check in to.

It jumps from function to function by itself and won't stay on the one I want. For example at the moment I want it on the Aux function, after I choose it it will jump to CD, then FM radio and keep jumping...

2001 Car lost power and required jump start. Radio in "LOC" mode. Need radio serial number, unlock code and procedure to unlock and restore radio function.

Call a Chevy dealer service dept. They can probably tell you what to do. I did while sitting in the car on the cell phone for step by step info. Took about two min.
