Can't find the glass fuse, only thing I see that could be the problem besides the control module is the capacitor that sits on the back of the unit.

hello if it's bulged it's no good but i'd still desolder it and test it make sure you use the same rated microfarads but higher voltage also check for dry joints good luck

I know what you are talking about bulged. I have seen these before where they bulge at the top but this one is in a case mounted on the back of the unit. Is there any way to test this capacitor to see if its damaged?

How to run self test on bosche dishwasher

Here is an excerpt from "Bosch Dishwasher Troublesoooting".

Running a Test Cycle
Bosch dishwashers have a test cycle which can be run as a troubleshooting measure. The method to run this test cycle is similar across the Bosch dishwasher range so if your dishwasher features seems different from those described below then try experimenting, as the process is fairly straight forward and will be very similar. Bosch dishwasher model numbers are usually found around the top or lip of the door. One of the most common differences between dishwasher models is simply the names of the buttons. For example in the first example below, POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH may be called WASH and ECO depending on your dishwasher model and the country you are in. The other key difference is whether your dishwasher has a display panel (which can display error codes) or not (in which case a program light will illuminate to tell you the fault.
To run the test cycle hold down the POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH buttons. Whilst held down press the ON/OFF button. The lights above them should flash. Now you can check the status of each dishwasher program by pressing its button. Now you can run the full test cycle = Press the POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH buttons again. The dishwasher will start up and when the cycle has ended one, if you have no display panel on your dishwasher model the indicator lights will illuminate if a malfunction was detected as follows -
CLEAN - A temperature sensor fault. If this is the case then the test cycle will be very short as the dishwasher will terminate the test once it's been detected.
RINSE/DRY - A water sensor/filling fault. If this is the problem then the test cycle will not complete as the dishwasher cannot detect the right level of water, the dishwasher will just keep filling and draining again.
WASH - A heating fault. Check your heating element.
If you do have a display panel on your Bosch dishwasher then after the cycle is complete an error code will be shown if a fault has been detected. The error codes are as follows -
0 - No errors have been detected.
1 - A water sensor/filling fault.
2 - A heating fault.
4 - A water filling fault. This can also appear as F on the display during a normal cycle.
8 - A temperature sensor fault.
When troubleshooting your Bosch dishwasher, running the above test cycle is a good start in diagnosing the problem and should give you an idea of where the problem lies with your Bosch dishwasher and what fixes and repair are in order. Our general troubleshooting page will give you some ideas on other things to check on your dishwasher. Good luck!

E27 and e95 code

I had this problem. I tried to interupt a cycle just after it started and then couldn't start the cycle again, with the E27 code coming up.

e27 refers to a problem with the door locking mechanism which could be due to a number of causes. The problem I had was with the solenoid in the door, not a genuine problem with the door latch mechanism.

Here is how I fixed it:

(1) Set knob to off

(2) Hold down spin selector and Allergy rinse buttons and turn the knob to the LEFT (right does not work)

(3) The display then shows a number of program codes P01 to P14. (Pressing spin selector rotates through the codes).

(4) Press spin selector until you reach P02 on the display, then press the start button, the door will click and the machine will begin a cycle.

(5) Turn the knob to OFF, and then you should be able to use the machine as normal.

E:27 error code. Wet laundry is locked inside the washer. How can I get the door open manually? I've already unplugged the machine and waited and tried resetting everything.

E:27 message means that the door locking mechanism has malfunctioned and/or is overheating. Unplug the machine for 30 minutes and try again. If that doesn't solve the problem you need to call the service.

I have a bosch washing machine. The tumble lights are blinking and I cannot get the machine starting a new program

Restart the machine and repeat the following procedure to reset the machine to original factory settings.

Enter the test program by:

1. Set the cycle knob to any "X" (reset) position

2. Press and hold the Pre-wash and the Start buttons at the same time. While still holding these buttons, turn the unit on by pressing the On/Off button

3. Keep holding the Pre-wash and the Start buttons until the digital display comes on (about 5 seconds)

The digital display will show 00 for no faults or will show a fault code.

To end the test program turn the washer off at any time.

Post the results.

The result would be a fault code which indicates the error. Will await your further comments.
