Dacor single oven does not heat and the display states it is on 135 degrees with pre-bake on. I do not even know what pre-bake is and never deliberately used that feature. The broil does not heat either. The fans work and there is power to the unit. The unit is about 4 years old and previously did not cause any problems. We need help fast. Ron

They last 3-5 years depending how much you use your stove.
Disconnect POWER to the stove, remove the screws holding the lower element to the back of the inside of the stove, pull out carefully and remove the 2 screws holding the wires on. Check the element with an ohm meter, it should read 0 (zero or very close) resistance on an ohm meter. You may also take it to a store that sells replacements ($25) and they may check it for you.

SOURCE: My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning

like another person stated-from the front behind the door, take off the 6 screws and the cover by the latch. there is an "oven hi temp limit switch" It is crome with 2 heavy black wires connected to it. On the back side of this is a small red button which will reset the limit switch. I had the same issue (everything worked except the any of the heating elements) and quickly resolved.

SOURCE: Dacro Wall oven (electric) does not heat past 345 degrees on bake or convection bake but broiler works and bottom oven works fine (for bake, convection bake and broil).

it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area

SOURCE: dacor oven won't preheat and

It worked for me but it was not like I was pushing the red button in. It seemed to be in the same place before and after I reset it.

Dacor 1.5 years old convection oven...not heating

Flip both oven breakers HARD to the "off" position, then back on. If it did not help - you might have a problem with a relay on the control board or a failed bake element.
Grab a flashlight and check the element on the bottom (if you can see it). DO NOT TOUCH THE ELEMENT! If you find any bulging or cracking on the element - it'd out. Before removing the element turn the oven off on the breaker panel.
PS Model number is needed to find the part numbers.

Dacor Double Oven

HI - I just had the same problem - repairman came and reset the breaker in the oven which "tripped" (even tho I havent used the lower oven in months).  Read posts here on other Dacor ovens which explain how to get to the reset switch to avoid having $150 in repair costs - I have not tried that myself tho but good luck!

Oven not heating

i have had this problem twice. once was the heating element actually had shorted out because the little ceramic holders had broken, this necessitated getting new element. can be checked out with an ohmmeter by yourself or by taking element into appliance repair place. the other time, it was that the manual reset switch had tripped after a self-clean cycle. actually at the moment, that has happened again- design flaw perhaps in the RSD30 range?
so anyone who can tell a reasonable competent refrigeration/HVAC technician where the manual reset switch is would be appreciated.

Dacor Oven Won;t Heat

power surges can short out the electonics in appliances. If you can locate where the tech sheet is and I would say its behind the control panel on top, look at the wiring diagram and see if there are any replaceable fuse's. Or a resetable fuse for the heating element. If not check to see if power is getting to the main control bord. If there is power there you may need to replace the control.
