Dishes are not getting clean particularly in the upper rack. The soap dispenser opens properly but the soap was still there. The washer seems to fill properly and it sounds normal. The dishwasher goes through the cycles as normal.

Bosch dishwasher soap dispenser wont open or drain.

If your Bosch dishwasher's soap dispenser is not opening or draining properly, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Clean the Dispenser Area: Start by inspecting the soap dispenser area for any debris, soap residue, or obstructions. Clean the dispenser thoroughly using a damp cloth and remove any buildup that may be preventing it from opening or closing properly.
  2. Check for Mechanical Issues: Examine the dispenser latch and mechanism for any signs of damage or wear. Ensure that the latch is engaging properly and that there are no loose or broken parts. If any components are damaged, they may need to be replaced.
  3. Test the Dispenser Solenoid: The soap dispenser may be controlled by a solenoid that releases it at the appropriate time during the wash cycle. Check if the solenoid is functioning correctly by performing a continuity test using a multimeter. If the solenoid is defective, it may need to be replaced.
  4. Verify Proper Detergent Usage: Ensure that you are using the correct type and amount of dishwasher detergent recommended for your Bosch dishwasher. Using the wrong detergent or excessive amounts can cause issues with dispenser operation. Consult your dishwasher's user manual for specific detergent recommendations.
  5. Check the Drainage System: A clogged drainage system can prevent the soap dispenser from draining properly. Inspect the drain hose, drain pump, and any filters for blockages. Clear any debris or obstructions you find, and ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or bent.
  6. Reset the Dishwasher: Try resetting your Bosch dishwasher by turning it off at the power source or unplugging it for a few minutes. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues and restore proper operation.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult the Bosch dishwasher's user manual for model-specific troubleshooting steps or contact Bosch customer support for further assistance. They can provide you with specific guidance tailored to your dishwasher model and help you diagnose and resolve the problem.

Wall of microwave oven is burned any way to clean it?

If it doesn't clean with dish soap, particularly where the microwaves come through the place on the right side that is plastic, then it is pooched. The microwaves will not get through to the heating area and reflect back to the magnatron. The thermal switch will open and the unit will not heat. or get hot and the food will be under cooked.

How do you start the self cleaning oven process on a kenmore stove purchased from Sears in 2009?

  1. Empty the Oven
    • Take everything out of the oven. Remove the racks and clean them with soap and water in the kitchen sink. Look for any loose debris such as foil or charred food and remove that as well.
    Oven Cleaning
    • To operate the self cleaning mode, find the switch on the range marked "Clean." The oven door will lock once the cleaning operation has started. Do not open the door until after the self-cleaning process has completed. It will take between two and three hours.
During the cleaning process, you may see and smell smoke. This is normal because the oven is operating at a higher temperature than when it is cooking. The high temperature is reducing all the organic matter in your oven to ash. You will also sometimes hear popping sounds from the oven that is caused by the expansion of metal under extreme heat. This is normal for a self-cleaning operation.
After the oven has completed the cleaning cycle, allow it to cool for a couple of hours. Once cool, take a damp dish cloth and remove the ash from the bottom of the oven. Wipe down the interior of the oven door and around the seal. Be careful around the seal so you do not damage it. Replace the racks back in your oven, and the cleaning operation is complete.
    Other Considerations
    • Clean your oven at least once every three months. If your oven gets heavy use, consider cleaning it once a month. Always run the self-cleaning cycle when you are home. Because it uses intense heat, it is best to perform this operation later in the evening or early in the morning.

It is an older model maching and it seems to be clogged and not cleaning the dishes..how do you unclog it

It would be helpful to know exactly what machine you have, but the bottom line is, you need to access the screen at the bottom of the machine, where the water exits into the pump. Many units have a macerator blade in front of the screen that chops up large particles of food so that they will pass through the screen. The blade is attached to the same shaft as the pump, which both supplies the high pressure water to wash dishes and pumps out the dirty water at the end of the cycle, and if there are small hard particles, such as bits of bone, plastic or broken glass in there, they can jam the blade so that the pump does not pump properly. You will need to remove the dish racks whatever covers, etc., are on the bottom inside the machine to get at the screen and/or macerator.

My dishwasher is leaving water in the bottom after finished. The dishes are not cleaning. Are the two related?

Yes more than likely you have a restriction in your pump/drain. you will need to remove the drain cover in the bottom of the dishwasher and clean it out
  • Empty the dishwasher and remove the dish racks so that you can easily locate the drain inside your dishwasher. The drain is under a drain grate, usually at the back of the dishwasher.

  • Remove the drain grate by either popping the grate out, or by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. Different types of dishwashers will have different options.

  • Use the soapy water and the toothbrush or scrub brush to clean inside the drain area and the grate.

  • Rinse the drain area with clean water. Then replace the drain grate.

  • Pour ½ cup of salt, 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of vinegar into the drain (in that order). The mixture will bubble. This will clean the drain and the drain hose.

  • Wait until the vinegar/baking soda mixture has stopped bubbling. Then pour 1 cup of bleach into your detergent dispenser. Replace the dish racks and run the empty dishwasher on a regular cycle. This will clean the entire machine

  • If this does not solve the issue your drain hose may be plugged or crimped and lastly your pump may be failing.

Last night while making popcorn, I smelled burning plastic. I shut the Microwave off and open the door to find the rack hooks melting. What would cause this to happen? Can I use the Microwave anymore?

Quite often this is due to greasy build up on the inside of the unit, there will also be a mica plate probally in the roof or close to the top of the uniton the inside sidewall, normally held in by one screw this should also be removed and cleaned. If the hooks are melted bad enough they will need to be replaced or just cleaned with soap and water.
