Hi.

This is a common issue for the Wii Balance Board. Here is how you do it:

  1. Take the batteries out.
  2. Take out the screws from each foot in every corner of the board using a Philips screwdriver. Remove the back cover.
  3. The sensors are located on each corner, it is a metal plate. Loosen the screws using TORX screwdriver.
  4. Re seat the small metal plates by putting it back. Don't screw too tight.
  5. Put the cover back and foot on. Put the batteries back in.
I have also written a tip about this with video, you can visit it here.

Hope this helps!

Always asking to remove ur feet on board even there's nothing on board?

Here are a few things to try:
1) change the batteries. Weak batteries can cause unusual behavior.
2) make sure the board is on a stable and flat surface.
3) reset the connection to the Wii (using the buttons under the battery cover on the board and under the card slot cover on the Wii)

Let me know if these don't work.

We have done the checking of the wii fit board and it recegonizes it but then when trying to do a game any fit game it says step off and press A and we do and then it just keeps saying that over and over...

You could try these:

  • Turn it off and then try again without stepping on it before it asks you to.
  • Try reconnecting all the remotes.
  • If you have the board sitting on a thick carpet or something it might cause problems. Try using a hard surface.
  • Try getting the batteries out and then put them back in.
  • Try using another game for the Wii board. If it works it's not a hardware problem and you need to get another Wii fit disc.
  • There also seems to be an issue with rechargeable batteries (the constant charge may be damaging the unit). What you have to do is get a new board from the store you bought it and use AA cells, otherwise the new one might stop working also.

If none of these work your wii board might be faulty (damaged pressure sensors) and you would have to return it and get another one or a refund on your money.
Hope this helps!

How do you sync the wii fit board and wii console

  • Put four AA batteries into the battery housing located on the underside of the Wii Balance Board.

  • Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game into the Wii system.

  • Select the "Disc Channel" on the screen with the Wii remote, and choose "Start."

  • Open the SD card slot to reveal a sync button on the Wii system. This is located behind a cover under the power and eject buttons.

  • Turn the Wii Balance Board upside down.

  • Remove the battery cover under the balance board to reveal another sync button.

  • Pres the sync button on the balance board, then press the sync button on the Wii. Do not hold down the buttons. You know it is synchronized when the blue light on the Wii Balance Board stays steady

  • Place the board on a flat surface directly in front of the TV. Face the power button away from the TV.

New crown compatible wii fitness board will not sync with wii console. board only blinks a few times then switches off

Have new crown compatible fitness board, new batteries inserted, inserted Wii fitness disc, choose training, then trial, choose hula hoop game, used remote press A to start.

Screen says place me on a flat floor and press POWER button before stepping onto me

Followed the instructions power button flashes blue, as do the four corners then the lights go out - then nothing happening, still have the same message place flat on floor etc....

Have also tried the Wii Balance Board Check - followed all instructions last one says please turn on power. Pressed button flashes blue as do four corners then they go out

Am I doing something wrong or Is this a faulty board ?

    Thanks

I have used my wii fit plus 3 times with no problem but yesterday i did body test then went training first few games were fine then it started saying my weight was a little different than before do i want...

Yes, it's completely normal. To avoid this, try to take the BMI test at the same time everyday. If you have a big meal in between the weights, it might say that.
Also, the batteries on the board may be running low. Try with some new ones and see if the problem persist.
Also, try keeping the Wii Balance board on a flat hard surface, such as the floor. Do not use it on thick carpets since it might report bad measurements.
    Hope this helps.

My wii board looses conectivity when i'm doing step, why is this

The sync button for that battery pack is raised slightly from the outer surface of the cover. make sure nothing is under the board that could be pushing on that button, ie high carpet could do it. if your on carpet be sure your using the feet extenders. if it still happens try setting it on a board or other solid surface. hope this helps

The board keeps asking me to step off when I'm not on the board. It won't work with any game. It thinks it has someone on it when there isn't.

    Hello :

Make sure that the Wii Balance Board is placed properly in front of the TV: The blue power light should be facing away from the TV. If the Wii Balance Board is facing the wrong way, your movements will be reversed.
Check the battery life of the batteries in the Wii Balance Board. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
Check to make sure nothing is pressing against the bottom of the Wii Balance Board. If you do find anything pressing against the bottom
(such as carpet), try using the foot extensions
    .

If you are you using the Wii Balance Board on a plush carpet , try using the foot extensions. After you have installed the extensions, re-weigh yourself and check for proper results (within a few pounds.

    good luck .

What do you do when your wii balance board keeps saying please step off me and press A

Sorry to tell you but it has gone faulty, you need to take it in for repair. There are no serviceable parts inside.

My wii fit board keeps telling me to ''step off the balance board and press A'' I am not standing on it when i get this message. I've checked the batteries, re synched the board to my wii, taken out the...

Looked around for a solution for a long time for this one.

    1) removing the batteries from the Wii Fit balance board for at least a minute.

    2) Turn the Wii OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds plug the cord back into the outlet.

2 Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This should clear all the old syncs on the Wii.

3 After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:

a With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.

b Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will turn on.

c Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console.

d When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

4 Start the game from the Wii Menu, don't forget to sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game (you've deleted the syncs earlier).

Another problem may be the surface on which you post the Wii fit, make sure it's flat, try put it on the floor directly or place it on a rug.

And don't forget to "step on" it when it says and not before as the Wii console might be "overloaded".
