1

Check the orange "Hold" switch on the left side of the Sansa C150, if you cannot turn on the MP3 player or if none of the buttons is working. When the "Hold" switch is up, the buttons are disabled. Slide the "Hold" switch down to activate the buttons again.
2

Press and hold the "Power" button until the LCD screen lights up when turning on the MP3 player. Pressing the button quickly does not turn on the device. The "Power" button is located on the front of the device, under all the other control buttons.
3

Replace the AAA battery, if you cannot power on your MP3 player. To replace the battery, remove the battery cover from the back of the device by pressing in on its tab and pulling it off. Remove the old battery, insert the new battery and replace the cover. One AAA battery provides approximately 15 hours of power for your Sansa C150.
4

Change the backlight settings to conserve battery life. This is useful if you find the battery loses power quickly during normal use of your Sansa C150. To change the backlight settings, choose "Settings" to bring up the "Settings" menu. Select "Display," "Backlight" and then a shorter backlight time. The backlight will shut off after a period of inactivity that matches your backlight setting.
5

Review your music purchases to understand what rights you've purchased to the content, if you are unable to play a track back on your Sansa C150. When you purchase music, it comes with certain rules for how you can store and play it. You may not have paid for the right to transfer the song to a portable media player.
6

Reset the Sansa C150 if it acts erratically or if you have other problems. To reset the device, open the "Settings" menu and choose "Reset All." Choose "Save" to finish restoring the MP3 player to its factory default settings. If you decide not to reset the device during this process, select "Cancel" instead of "Save."

Delete demo files on Sandisk c150?

The demo songs still don't show up when I select "Show hidden files/folders". I had go to Menu->Settings->Format, and proceed with formatting it to get the demo songs off my Sansa c240 (This will delete all songs/files).
