My Control 4 AVM-HTC1-B no longer tunes the attached TV and presents only red flashing lights on the front panel. We had a power outage recently and the unit won't run after that problem. I understand that Control 4 doesn't make this unit now, but do you know of a place where I can purchase a replacement product?

Power outage is very likely to kill these systems, your best bet (I'm assuming these are in your area) - would be crestron, they supply at around the same prices and their products are highly reccomended.
Try http://www.crestron.com/ or failing that you're going to pay through the nose for similar equiment from other higher end dealers.
Wish you the best of luck and happy new year! And invest in a surge protector for 2011 :)

I have a Mitsubishi WD 60738 and the stand by light on the front of the tv was staying on and was orange. I removed the power supply and blew out all the dust and reinstalled the power supply and now the...

Hello Jeff;
If the TV does not turn on or off, does not respond to the remote
control or the control panel buttons, or has audio but no video:
1.) Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for ten seconds. The TV will turn off.
2.) Power on the TV and the green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. The changes you made most recently, before using SYSTEM RESET, may be lost.

If the TV does not respond to the remote control or to the control-panel buttons and TV will not power on or off.
• Unplug the AC power cord for 10 seconds.
• Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10
seconds to perform a system reset.

If the TV turned itself off and the light on the front panel started to flash:
• Momentary power fluctuation can cause the TV to turn off to prevent damage. Wait for the green light to stop flashing and turn the TV on again.
• If the TV does not stay on, press the POWER button on the
control panel for ten seconds to perform a System Reset. If this happens frequently, obtain an AC line power conditioner/surge protector.
• An unusual digital signal may have been received, triggering a
protection circuit. Wait for the light to stop flashing and turn TV
on.

If the TV will not power off, press the POWER button on the control panel for ten seconds to perform a System Reset.

Should you still have problems, call for assistance at 1(800) 332-2119

I would not recommend using compressed air or any other method that would blow dust around- since the dust could make its way into the set's circuitry via the grille or vents and cause problems. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment instead.

Sanyo AVM-3259S TV is stuck on video2 remote is lost. How do change video input? Right now I can only play video games on it.

As the TV has no menu button on its front panel, you must have its remote control to select inputs.

Our Samsung HPN5039x Plasma TV isn't turning on: when we press the power button, the red power light flashes then turns off. What do we do?

Hello, It sounds like you have a defective power supply. Typically, +5 volt stby is present if the TV switches on with front indicator light. On the power supply, connector 802 pin 4 is the on command from the pcb main to switch the p.supply on. If this signal is present but still no VS,VA,VE panel voltages are missing, the p. supply is bad. Good luck!

Flashing red center light

With most flat panel TVs, the TV turn itself OFF when it has a fail electronic part and the red light starts flashing. They call this "Protection Mode". The flashing red light should be a error trouble code.
But, it's weird that everything is working and the red light is flashing. Since you just recently bought the TV, I would get it check out while it's still under warranty. Better safe, than sorry.

After a momentary power outage Panasonic LCD TV has a flashing red light and will not turn on.

Try using a different outlet, the outlet or the tv may have been damaged in the surge. In the case of the tv contact the manufacturer and see if it's still under warranty. There may also be a way to 'reset' the tv by holding the power button down, try looking in the manual or calling customer support. In the future use a surge protector, many of today's electronics are still sensitive to power surges, older tv's were more resilliant than today's in this regard.

Samsung lcd tv ltm1755b won't turn on (power light stays red)

Problem: Samsung LTM1755B with only a blinking yellow LED when you try to turn it on.

Solution: I just had one of these come in. I opened it up, and found the U501 capacitor a little suspicious looking, in that it had a deformed top. It was a 470uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 12mm. I replaced it with a very good quality 1000uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 16mm Nichicon UHN1C102MPD. After that repair, when I tried to turn it on, the LED was yellow for a second, then green, then I got a picture, and it appeared to work great. I then asked the owner a week later how it was working, and they said it was working just like new!
