Hello, it looks like somehow the master boot record was erased from the hard drive, maybe viral? You mentioned the hard drive was recognized in the bios correct? If you need data from the hard drive the easiest way would be to pull the hard drive out and use an external hard drive enclosure to remove the data before you erase everything from the hard drive. If you dont need anything thing you can proceed to do a new install of Windows 7. Turn the computer on then hold alt and the f10 key to perform a factory recovery. This will erase everything and reinstall Windows 7. If this doesnt work then you will need a new hard drive and a bootable usb drive with Windows 7 on it. Hope this helps.
It sounds like the hard disk is faulty, the machine is trying to boot via the network card as it cannot find a bootable disk. You could try removing the hard drive and reseating it but the disk could be dead.
First check to see if you have any removable media plugged in such as flash drives or cdroms. If nothing else is plugged in and it still shows that error, the problem could be with a faulty hard drive. If your computer is still under warranty, try contacting Acer to get a replacement.
Press F2 and enter setup as it looks like your device is set to boot from the network instead of your C drive. You can change the boot order in the setup.
Isso acontece quando seu disco duro do laptop estiver no fim da vida. bom sinal. assim ja podes comprar um novo disco duro para substituir. veras que essa mensagem nunca mais aparecera no seu ecra. Faxa ixo meu irmao.. boa sorte.
The PXE is a component of your computer's network controller.
1) Press the F2 menu on your keyboard and Setup Utility and click the Boot Tab. Press F12 and check the default settings like the IDE 0 and Network Boot.
2) If you do not notice any hard disk drive, it indicates the absence of a hard drive or hard disk failure.
3) Perform factory reset in your computer and you will restore the default settings of your computer.
No idea if I understand correctly but ... Try to go into BIOS and reset the boot order (your computer may just try to boot from a network location) so that the hard drive is first (or primary)
