The coffee maker will not brew a second cup immediately after the first cup. End up having to wait about 20 minutes. I usually turn it off. After that it appears to work properly. Any ideas?

How to clean Brew Station

Remove the water filter, if you have one. Pour 2 cups of vinegar into the water reservoir. Turn on, wait 20 seconds, and turn off. Leave for 30 minutes. Then turn on, and turn off when finished. After it has cooled, dispense several cups, then empty and rinse the reservoir. Run two or three more cycles with (clean) water only, allowing to cool between the cycles.

My keurig says I need to descale. How?

Descaling depends the size of the reservoir. I see the B60 but not the B66 at the Keurig site. The two units are apparently the same from searching the support side of the Keurig site: http://www.keurig.com .

For the Mini coffee makers, you use 20 oz of vinegar (2 10 oz cycles). For the larger Keurig units, it takes 48 oz of vinegar.

In either case, fill the reservoir with vinegar and put a large ceramic (12 oz mug for the mini unit) mug on the drip tray. Do not add a K-cup. For the B60 (and probably the B66), press the Brew button. Discard the vinegar after the cycle. Repeat the brew process until Add Water is indicated. Discard the vinegar each time. Then wait 4 hours with the unit on. Discard the remaining vinegar and rinse the reservoir. Fill the reservoir with 48 oz of water and brew several cups without a K-cup until the "Add water" message appears. Discard the water in the mug each time. Repeat the vinegar cleaning if De-scale still appears in the LCD. Run more water without the K-cup if you notice a remaining taste in the coffee after the rinse procedure.

For the mini, fill the reservoir with 10 oz of water, lift the Brewer handle and lower it after 5 seconds with no K-cup in the unit. Press the Brew button. Discard the vinegar after the cycle. After the first cycle, pour the other 10 oz of vinegar into the Cold Water Reservoir. Lift the handle and lower it after 5 seconds. Press the Brew button and wait until the light becomes steady. When vinegar starts to be dispensed, power off the unit. Wait 30 minutes. Then power on the unit and lift and lower the handle again. Then discard the vinegar after the cycle. Next run 4 rinse brew cycles with 10 oz of water each time. Discard the water each time. The unit should be ready to brew with a K-cup after the 4 rinse cycles.

I hope this helps.

Set up for 12 cups. Starts ok but stops after

Unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes OR LONGER (not a second less). While it is unplugged, fill the water reservoir with 1/2 caraffe distilled white vinegar and 1/2 caraffe water. At the end of the twenty minutes, replug the coffeemaker and brew the vinegar/water just like it was coffee. You may have to run it through up to 3 times. If the vinegar/water cleaning fails to restore the coffeemaker to normal, you have a deeper issue. This product has a 3-year warranty, so call Cuisinart if you are within your 3 years.

I have a cuisinart coffee maker. I can set the

Unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes or longer - not a second less - in order to fully reset it. Then, when you plug it back in, turn the function dial to Clock again. Press and hold the HR button for a few seconds, and then set the hours. It should work now unless it got zapped, as you said.

Good luck!

Directions on how to use my Black and Decker Espresso Mio coffee maker

Be sure the red rubber gasket is in place and clean (ridge side in) and bottom water cup is screwed firmly on to avoid leaking.
HOW TO USE:
1) Fill the bottom water cup with cold water up to the inside lip.
2) Set funnel into bottom water cup
3) Fill coffee basket with expresso grind coffee and level off. (Do not tamp or pack). Make sure it's filled to the top.
4) Place filter onto coffee basket and set coffee basket into funnel
5) Place brewer over bottom water cup and screw firmly into place.
6) Place unit with lid in the center of a microwave oven set on high for 1-1/2 minutes. If boil over occurs, reduce the brew time in 10-second increments until no boil over occurs.
7) Grasp handle to remove unit from microwave when finished brewing.
8) Remove lid and check the level of espresso in the brewer cup. Standard brew is at least 2 oz. If you don't have this level brew, replace lid and microwave on high another 10 seconds. Wait 20-30 seconds for bubbling to stop.
CLEANING/ADDITIONAL BREWING:
1. Under cold running water, unscrew the bottom water cup. CAUTION: It is normal for some water to be left in the bottom water cup. Both the coffee basket and any water in the bottom water cup will be extremely hot! If you prefer, allow the unit to cool for at least 3 minutes before unscrewing it.
2) To brew additional espresso, rinse Funnel, coffee basket and filter, then repeat brewing steps 1-8 above.
3) Parts are top rack dishwasher-safe -- hand washing filter is recommended.
