the normal installation procedure for this driver wouldn't work, i've tried many versions including the latest one from the ASUS support official site - in vain, i know this is not an easy task and i have almost given up myself, though i would not prefer to reinstall the OS

thank you very much for your solutions, unfortunately none of the proposed solutions work, i guess there is no other solution but reinstall the OS, however this is not my choice

thank you very much for your concern with driver description and additional question, i have learned about the driver myself pretty well, my computer is ASUS S5N XP, i have tried to install the driver from different sources many times, including the latest version provided on the official site of ASUS, but always failed

thnks for your concern, of course i tried extracting and installing, it doesn't work either, the OS is Win XP SP3
