Red line usually means it needs to have the battery charged, plug it in and let it charge several hours or overnight

it sounds as if your processor has been damaged. as long as there is no physical visable damage to the phone you will be covered under warranty. your phone has a 1 year manufacture warranty. do you have the blackberry destop manager installed on a computer?

let it charge for a while its completely drain blackberry's barley ever completely die so when the do they can't even turn on for a while after 20 minutes at most you should see it booting up(white screen with hour glass)

Just change the battery and everything will be fine,your old battery can no longer accept current charge due to long time usage.
