I have canon ir400 machine... it displayed error codes e604 and e315... what i do? plz help me....

E604 The image memory has a fault.

The RAM has a fault.

The expansion memory is not mounted properly.

E315 The image data coding mechanism has an error.

The coding chip has an error.

The image memory has an error.

If you have installed expansion memory I would turn off your Canon, uninstall the memory and turn on the Canon.

If the error is gone, try to print something.

If you are able to print without error then try re-installing the RAM and make sure it's in correctly.
Then see if the error is gone and try to print.

I dont know that model,but on the others it may be waste toner bottle full,or fixing motor faulty

What is the error code that is displayed? If it turns right off, hold the main power switch till the display screen display's the error code. Write it down and let the forum know what it is, it will help with a answer.

E604 Error Code. You followed all the troubleshooting steps in the service manual and still have an E604 code.



Solution :
Check the Image Server Memory or the Image Processor PCB. The recommended Image Sever Memory should be Kingston 32MB, 144 pin EDO Module, 64 Bit, 60 nanoseconds, No Parity.

If the fuser assy has been repaired and you keep experiancing an E002 the problem is most likely a faulty DC Controller (main board) The DC Controller handles the voltage applied to the fuser assy and gives the error code E002 or E003. Have your tech clean & reseat connectors on the DC Controller before just replacing it. I have found cleaning the connectors & reseating them solves the problem 75% of the time.

This is a Write Fault In Image Memory. Correct the problem, there is no reset.
