Yesterday I programmed a new name for an existing extension into our phone and I just scrolled around the numbers in speed dialing. This morning I have a huge problem! I can receive calls, but cannot transfer or anything. Every button I press tells me "Select a Line". It's like the system has totally locked me out! I need help fast as this is our reception phone for the office! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Take the battery out disconnect all power source for 3 min. then plug back in. hopefully that helps or call. the number on your system see if the'll walk you through it.
Sounds like one of your buttons are stuck. look over the buttons to see if one is a bit uneven or take each button and jiggle it outwards

The solution for someone using the administrator phone (receptionist phone) is after discovering you have a fax call, depress the <link> button. Dial the fax number, wait for it to answer, then depress <link> again. This places call 1 with an outside number.
Apparently this is also available if you have a feature button by depressing <feature> <7> <1> instead of <link>. I haven't tried this so don't take my word for it.
This can also be used to forward a caller to an outside line, such as a cell phone. In the manufacturing business, our shop manager is never in the office. I may ask him if this is a viable solution.

If it is the first, there are many things that you need first, too much to explain at the moment. But you need to have the password and a template for your phone to make changes.
If it is the second, press:
- Feature * 0 and any button to find out what is on the button, look for an empty button or one that you want to overwrite,
- then RLS,
- press FEATURE * 2
- press the button where you want to add this new extension
- dial the extension of the new person
Voila you are done!

Programming
is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt,
press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program ringing on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should sat LINE ACCESS
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display should say LINE ASSIGNMENT.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display ask for a line number. press list
The display should say line 001: appear only
press the Chng key till it says appear & ring
press next key (lower right arrow)
The display should say line 002: appear only
repeat the procedure the same as line 001 for the remaining ringing lines
press the release key when finished
