Mine also when its in the restarting procedure its stopping and giving me the error code 06. But i don't have a filter and i am not using one. i think that its not a must to use a filter or its is? I think its something like a problem withe water or the water pump because its grinding its taking the coffee buts the water is not coming to make the coffee. i opened it and i saw how things are happening inside i cleaned everything then again its not working its grinding the coffee its taking inside but the water is not coming.

I have the same problem with my Krup xp7240 at one year and two month old. I had this problem when it's one year old, then I sent it to its official supplier for repair. After two months of using later on, I got the same problem again. This really got me mad. I figure I'd never buy Krup product any more.

The error 06 (comes after start up) and machine in auto test - happens because more than one problem. One of the compulory services, rinsing, change water filter, cleaning OR / AND descaling is out of date. Start off with one at a time and do ALL.
Reconfirm it by going into "Product Information" and confirm that the cycles since previous cleaning, descaling and water filter replacement is ZERO.
Your machine will NOT have start up problems any longer

One thing I have found is that the used coffee builds up inside the machine and the head can not move. Open the machine's top so you can see the iner workings, you will see the main head and below that a well, this wel should be empty, on mine it was full of old compated coffee, use a chopstick or fondue fork and get all the old stuff out... after that no problems with error message. Still got a leak..... anyone ?

ERROR CODE 06 and/or CODE 07 on the XP7245 model is requesting you to remove the water filter. I had this problem and I called Customer service for the answer. Once you have removed the filter they indicated to allow the unit to go thru set up mode again and then put the filter back in once the machine no longer has an error code.

I didn't actually try it b/c I took my maching back to the store I bought it from only 2 weeks after buying it to get a new one.

I just removed the water tank filter (the cylinder inside the water tank) and washed it up. (Actually the filter should probably be replaced). Fix it back in the water tank and tide it safety upon the exit ring.

Don't forget to unplug the machine BEFORE doing this.
Next, restart the machine and let it perform the automatic self testing.

I had some water problems with mij krups and try to solve it. Now it gives an error 0D. What does this mean?

I have a Krups XP7240 that came with the same error code (0d). I believe that the XP7240 and the XP7245 is pretty much identical inside. The sollution for me was that the connector to the front was loose. After pressing down on the connector, the machine worked perfectly again.

KRUPS XP7240 leaking water

My XP7240 has the same problem. I went through all cleaning cycles and the filter in the boiler still gets clogged up with coffee oils. This causes back pressure and blows the boiler seal out. Easy replacement if you can turn a screw driver.
Part number for Seal: MS-5015004. You might as well change the Jack too. (the part that slides into the boiler that compresses the ground coffee. (this is a redesigned double seal unit) Part Number MS-0697072.
Both these parts you can get at http://www.krups.com/Tools/Contact/Contact.htm choose your country and email the parts list. Mine cost in Australia $27.00 including shipping.
Good luck.

I have a Krups XP 7230 Expresso Machine. Water is...

I have a xp7240 which I believe has the same housing as yours. I can remove the bean container by pulling off the grind selector knob and removing the only screw.
Then remove the scute for the cleaning tablets. Then remove the two screws that were covered by the scute. Remove the water tank. Under the tank remove the two screws.
Then the trick where everyone seems to look for: The facade of aluminum can be moved off. Set the machine on the floor and pull hard upwards at the facade. This comes off (pull hard!) and four screw are uncovered. Remove them and pull then back housing of the machine (remove first the containers/drawers). Now the inner parts are freely accessible. Take photos and remove the components from top till bottom to get to the bad parts that need replacement. The valve that leaks is on the bottom of the machine (will cost you a lot of time to get to it. Don't know the replacement price.) Good luck!

Error Code 9 on a Krups XP7240 Expresso machine

After I changed piston sealing I get the same error 09. It was caused by missing connection to the thermoblock temperature sensor. In my case both connectors for thermocouple were cracked. They are located directly on the body of thermoblock, below two fuses, covered by rubber housing. After I solder them again on the position error 09 disappeared. Unfortunately it is necessary to open at least front panel of the machine. Moreover I tink that there is also important to save polarity of those two cables.

Hi, I need a 'joint seal' for my Krups XP4000 expresso maker, and ideally also one for my old Krups XP 962 expresso maker. I got them in France where they are called 'joint porte filtres' ref cde MS 620342...

The part for your XP4000 is the brew head seal. A Google search turned them up here:

http://www.smallappliance.com/product.asp?cur=USD&cam=krups_parts&sid=18954&gid=18960&mid=15&pid=2870&prdCls=P&shopBy=Brand

This page is their Krups model list:

http://www.smallappliance.com/department.asp?cur=USD&cam=krups_parts&sid=18954&gid=18960&mid=15&shopBy=Brand

It doesn't show the XP962 but it gives their phone number and says to call if you don't see what you need. So maybe they can help.

In general, when you want to search for something on the Internet, start with a good search engine (I use Google but there are others of course) and give a search string like "krupps kp40000 parts". Then you can check out the links it gives you until you find what you need.

I have a 12 month old KRUPS XP7240 coffee maker. It has just ceased to grind the beans. I suspect that the grinder or hopper to the grinder is blocked? Any suggestions how it might be...

You need to open the machine which is easy see my other post on leaking krups xp7240. The grinder can be taken out by removing two torix screws. Probably the electical brushes are gone. Take the grinder engine to a repair shop where they replace them.
