Initially, the error message/code H02 indicates an internal hardware issue or more particularly, one of the motors inside the Technics is not spinning (correctly).
So in generall if you get that error message it seems your motor will probably have to be replaced.
Save yourself $$$. Go to Ace hardware and get an O ring for 50 cents nstead of the $10 plus $3 shipping some websites want. 1 and 1/16 size. Have replaced these on a couple of technics SL MC models and works like a charm. No more error codes.
"E" must stand for error, either the laser decoder is faulty or the cd motor is not spinning or the laser is dirty or faulty, more investigation needed
The motor is shot,Or the gears are jamming up in it, Just look for a different one, It will cost you more to have it repaired, I have got good used disc (Players) For $10 to $40 at the most for friends of mine,
this player uses a philips mechanism, spindle motor failure is very common on these mechanisms, yours may be on its way out. take the lid off and insert a cd and if you can hear the laser trying to read the cd without it spinning, it's definately the spindle motor.
Im pretty sure this is to do withthe laser, try using a cleaning cd, put your head next to the player and listen to if the actual disc is moving inside.
this might evan be a problem with the cd motor.
