See page 26 of the manual for detailed instructions on HOW TO REGISTER THE HANDSET TO THE BASE.
Basically, the manual reads as follows:
Not registered appears on the handset and it does not work at all.
The handset may be deregistered from the telephone base.
Follow the steps below to register the handset to the telephone base.
1. Remove the handset from the telephone base.
2. Press and hold FIND HANDSET button on the telephone base for about four seconds until the red IN USE light turns on.
3. Then press # (pound key) on the handset.
It displays Registering... and it takes about 60 seconds to complete the registration.
The handset displays Registered for a few seconds and you hear a confirmation tone when the registration process completes.
I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.
Joe.
i'm in the same boat. i've tried reformatting the SD card, i've tried various computers (mac and pc--the PC won't even recognize that the unit is connected) and i've even tried different SD cards. no luck!
are you mac or PC? how big is your SD card?
Pc with a 2MB SD card.I try my Pc and my husbands both are windows 7 with no luck.I've emailed customer service ,but no response yet!
Customer service got back to me and told me to be sure the SD card was formatted as FAT32 (which mine already was). Didn't help me, but maybe it will help you. So frustrating!!!
Just got the email for customer service they told me the same thing. My card is also formatted as FAT32. I think were going to call them and see if that gets us anywhere.I'll keep you posted!
I am in the exact same situation! I wonder how many others are having the same problem. I am still waiting for customer service to get back to me too.
I've tried multiple different brands of sd card. Most have been hc, but a 2gb was not. Reformatted everything I could, restarted my computer, updated the reader, everything suggested in previous post here and nothing. I have tried every solution I could find and think of and no success. I made a new account on the learning lodge, updated the reader too. My son is in tears, what do I do?
