I have the same problem with my HTC Touch HD. I am running Easy Sync Pro 4.26 and Active Sync 4.5 and get the message "Unable to connect, verify Active Sync is running" when it is. I have had no luck contacting IBM (they say it is not their problem), HTC support in Australia (responsive but couldn't help) and HTC support in Europe (useless). I did a complete reset of my phone and reinstalled all software, but nothing works. Have tried all .exe's suggested in this and other forums, but no luck. Help.

In case of Omnia I found a solution.I deleted Easysync pro from my PDA then I reinstalled onto device(main memory) instead of storage card.

Hi!

When i bought HTC P3300, i downloaded trail version of Commontime mNotes to sync Lotus Notes and WM. It installed a certificate on my mobile. When i tried to use Lotus EasySync, it gave error ActiveSyn not running. Later i removed the mNotes certificated from my mobile and restarted LotusNotes EasySync. It worked perfectly fine.

Thx

I have switched from IPAQ with Chapura to HTC w/ Windows. I have multiple calendars on Outlook and want to have them also on the HTC. My tech team told me that I can handle via Catagories, but it doesn't...

you may be able to use google calendars to link your outlook with, google calendar will color code your different calendars. if you are successful with that, then google has a program called google sync that you can use on your windows mobile phone. the steps for setting up your windows mobile phone is on the google sync site. you will use activsync on the windows mobile phone to insert your google credentials and then it will wirelessly sync your contacts/calendar from your phone with gmail/google calender

Is there anyway I can backup my HTC touch pro

Not really. You need the password to connect via active sync.

Everything on your SD car is saved if that makes you feel any better.

HTC HD and MS Outlook Notes

Unfortunately, Notes are not available using Exchange ActiveSync, yet.

You have to tether your phone to a PC with Outlook and ActiveSync (XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) installed.

Since mutiple ActiveSync partnerships are supported you can sync some things with Exchange and some with your PC.

If we are lucky Windows Mobile 7 and/or Exchange 2010 will make this possible.

Sync with Entourage on Macbook

It is possible to use SyncMate for Mac syncing. The application is free and I believe it should perform the necessary functions.
