Is there a good tutorial avail? I lost all my music trying to create a cd without finalizing or mastering!!!! Panic took over and i rushed to undo without fully understanding what i did exactly. No "songs" show up in the song menu,..in addition,..i tried to record new music, and it isn't recording. Should / could I reset or could / should it be serviced?

You can download a manual from the tascam site for this model. as long as you pre-named your songs, they should show in the menu without mastering. You cannot burn any songs without mastering your songs first, however. They will not appear in the create cd section for this very reason.
Record, master,burn.

Mpc 1000 loud static

Maybe try adjusting the MASTER level?

Good Luck

Other settings
Adjusting the master level You can adjust the level of the headphone and the stereo out by turning the MAIN VOLUME knob. The MAIN
VOLUME changes the analog signal level. This will also adjust the entire level of the MPC1000 digitally.
01. Press the [MODE] key and then the [PAD 10] (OTHER).
It switches to the OTHER mode.
02. Press the [F1] (GLOBAL) key.
The GLOBAL page will be displayed.
03. In the Master level field, set the level.
You will set the digital signal level, which will be sent out to the DA converter. The MPC1000 can output up to
32 sounds simultaneously. There is the great difference in the level when you play single sample and play 32
sounds. If you increase the value in the Mater level field, you can increase the entire level of the MPC1000 to
create more powerful sound with less noise. However, if you playback many sounds at the same time, the
level may be overloaded, which may cause distortion. If you decrease the value in the Master level field, you
can prevent distortion when you play many sounds at the same time. However, you cannot have a good
result in respect to the noise or punch of the sound. Set the appropriate value in the Master level field
depending on the application.

We laid down 5 tracks of a new song and listened to them. We then changed screens to open another project (song) and the song we wanted to open (all 24 tracks) is GONE!! The other 21 songs on the machine...

Somehow proper save and shutdown was not done. You said the magic word PANIC... That is a deadly word in this situation. So first thing like for lost files on a PC is to look around... carefully. LIKELY the files are still there, just under a different folder or imbeded in another project. These systems do a pretty good job of not letting one clobber their files without confirming AS LONG AS proper shutdown procedure is used or power doesn't fail. The five tracks you might have forgotten to save...but the other should be there.

Every time I try to Export a mastered track it says "Mastered Track Too Big" However I have deleted everything I possibly can.... Why is it all of a sudden saying I don't have enough disk space?

Several of my music programs seem to have a limit of around 2Gb for a track... this is inspite of having plenty of disk space... this seems to be a limit set by the program rather than the resources available.

Keeps switching off and showing tocread on display

That probably means it can't read the "Table Of Contents" which is essentially the directory of the disc.

MAKE SURE any disc you try to read has been "finalized".

Any disc that you have burned that can have stuff added is NOT finalized and may not work in certain CD players.

You should be able to purchase a new disk from Yamaha:

Have your model and serial number available.

How do i put my music onto a cd? every

Often when recording music CD's you must "finalize" the CD so that the header info of the tracks are written and available to the player.

How to use the four ouputs in korg pa800

Go to www.korgpa.com/pa_root/pdf/pa800/Pa800-200UM-ENG.pdf.Page 226 has the audio output section.Page 19 has the rear panel explanation. Left/Right: These are the main stereo outputs. Use them to send the final stereo mix to an external device. Connect either to get a mono output. Set the output level with the Master Volume slider. 1/1: These are the sub outputs. Use these to create a stereo submix of just some tracks or to output just a single instrument to be mixed alone or to be processed or amplified externally. Not: the Master Volume slider has no effect on these outputs. Signal is sent dry with no effects applied. Hope this helps.
