I had the same problem with my Krups Orchestro and today picked it up from service. There was nothing wrong except the internal filter was blocked and a manual clean by the technician fixed it. I think I exacerbated the problem by going to the finest grind over time the amount of liquid to the cup got less and less till it stopped.
Now I am using a courser grind - hopefully this will delay the onset of the problem. I was going to try a clean myself - but was deterred by the security oval head screws on the back. The repair centre told me they thought the Krups machine was a great product - and that I should expect many more years. It is essential though to perform maintenance (clean especially) as soon as prompted.
Good luck!
I had the same problem described in this topic, i.e., when I run the machine all the process seemed to work fine, but at the end only a few drops of hot water were poured into the cup.
I dismantled the whole machine (what could I loose? It wasn't working anyway and it was not under warranty), cleaned the internal filter with a brush (and a needle), etc., only to find out that IT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM!
So I ran the machine again without the plastic covers (so I could observe the whole process) and I realized that no coffee was coming out from the internal coffee grinder, even though it "seemed" to work perfectly.
Just to make the story short, I simply ran the machine again but this time using grinded coffee instead of coffee beans, et voila! The machine worked perfectly!
But why wouldn't it pour just hot water into the cup, you might ask? If you read the operations manual, it states that if the machine is running on a low quantity of coffee (or not coffee at all), then the process is interrupted.
After this, I dismantled the coffee grinder just to confirm that the teeth of the grinder gears were worned out. I searched on ebay and on the websites recommended by krups for the replacement gears, but couldn't find any at all, so from now on I'll just use grinded coffee and that's it!
CONCLUSION: my advice is that if your machine seems to work fine but is not pouring anything out, simply try to run it on grinded coffee (special for espresso machines, not instant coffee, duh!) instead of coffee beans and see what happens. It's a simple test which costs nothing and could save you a lot of money!
Hope it helps!
The brewhead filter is blocked the machine needs to be stripped and manually cleaned and the o rings replaced. When you have done this sell it, these machines are rubbish i have one and it is for sale, total ****.
Re: Krups Orchestro; I do not have the instruction manual. Can anyone tell me what the 2nd light/middle light on the 2nd row means?
Thanks! s
I dont think this is a pump issue, almost all espresso machines use the same kind of pump as it almost never fails.
As you havent used it in a while i get the felling it has glogged up somewere between the heater and the coffe outlet.
Try and clean as much as you can other wise i think it is a expert that needs to help you.
I just had the same problem and the solution was to replace the "O" rings of the lower and upper pistons

Similar problem in that water does not pour into the cup but ends up only in the mill tray. All other functions are working normally.
Have had the machine for about 3-4 years with everyday use and cleaned and descaled when required.
I have a Krups Orchestro Siziliana and have carried out the cleaning process but the coffee runs into the spent coffee holder and not into the cup. The coffee grinder works and also the hot water/ steam nozzle. There are no warning signals.
I have the same issue. It is not this exact machine but very similar. I have take it apart to try and find the problem. As far as I can tell, hot water is delivered to the coffee apparatus but is not being pushed through the coffee and being expelled out the in nozzle.
I cannot finish lime-scaling program
I have going the same problem with the liquid going into the grounds container. I have had the machine for 4 years, and would like to have it serviced but can't find anyone who can do it.. Can anybody help. I live in north east england
