Why doesn't it go when I twist the throttle and I can't push it backwards?

These scooters have a speed controller system that will only power the motor if you get it moving about 5 mph. It won't start moving from a dead stop.

Charge the batteries. If still no power than replace the batteries because they are dead. The batteries in the scooter need to be kept charged. If the scooter has not been charge in two weeks to a month and over. They are probably dead and need replacing. Find replacements at razor.com

Charges and light comes and sounds like it engages but does not move

in order for the scooter to go you must already be walking with the scooter. so hold down the throttle and start to push (kick) the scooter.
