I have the same model and mine won't read discs anymore, it just says loading. I'll be glad to give you my charger. You pay the shipping, prolly 5 bucks or less. Mine charger works fine. You can email me at [email protected]

Also man, if you want the whole thing you can have it. Maybe you can use it for parts one day. The battery should work since we always used the wall charger and the screen works great in case your screen ever goes south. Ah well, just a thought. Later!

I just stumbled upon this web site and boy was it a good thing. We could not use our "like new" dvd player because we had misplaced our battery charger a long time ago. I got a response from someone who had the same player but it did not work anymore. He gave me his charger and battery. I just reimbursed him the shipping charges. It was just what I needed to get the use out of mine. I apprecite fixya.com and the guy who generously helped me out.

Ditto...my son has an Initial IDM 1731 and yep...we lost the wall charger. Where can I get one. Same here..Radio Shack has no charger that will work.
We lost a bag on the plane with all our chargers in it...two cell phone chargers and the wall plug to our Initial IDM-1731 dvd player........would love to hear from someone who has the plug and does not need it anymore.

My wall charger for the Inital DVD 1731 player does not work anymore. Can someone please tell me where I can get another one? I tried Radio Shack with no luck.
