Make sure you are using the line cord that came in the box with the telephone as this won't work with a different telephone's cord.
Is there a trident symbol flashing in top left corner? if so, press menu, down to setting, press ok, down to handset setting, press ok, down to register, press ok, enter pin 0000, press ok and at the same time press and hold the handset locator button on the base station for 10 seconds.
