Here are some general steps you can try to program your remote control:
Determine the brand and model of your remote control. This information should be available in the user manual or on the manufacturer's website.
Turn on your Samsung TV.
Press and hold the "Code Search" button on your remote control until the indicator light turns on.
Press the "TV" button on your remote control.
Enter the code for your Samsung TV. You can find a list of remote control codes in the user manual or on the manufacturer's website. Alternatively, you can try entering codes until you find one that works.
Press the "Power" button on your remote control. If the TV turns off, the code has been programmed successfully. If the TV does not turn off, repeat steps 3-5 with a different code.
If none of the codes work, it is possible that your remote control is not compatible with your Samsung TV. In this case, you may need to purchase a new remote control or contact Samsung customer support for further assistance.

I have a Westinghouse LTV-32w3 HD that I am able to operate with a Samsung AK59-00104R remote. To activate this, press and hold the TV Power button on the upper right of the remote while simultaneously typing "3" and then "5" in succession. This code (35) works for these Westinghouse TVs.
1. Turn on the TV. 2. On the remote control, press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET. NOTE: The remote control will exit programming if more than 10 seconds elapse between key presses. 3. Enter the first four-digit code for your TV. If you perform this procedure correctly, the LED will blink twice. NOTE: If the LED emits a long blink, the code is invalid. Repeat steps 2 through 3 and try entering the same code again. 4. Aim the remote control at your TV and press POWER once. The TV should turn off. If it does not respond, repeat steps 2-3, trying each code for your brand until you find one that works.
