Mac (OS 10.5.8) does not recognize SD 300?

Skip the installing of drivers and software. Simply buy a card reader/writer. This is a great way to get your pictures downloaded from the camera. Remove the card put it in a card reader, download the files to where you want them, then edit or view as you please.

.thm video files

Here is some info from fileinfo.com :
Video thumbnails are often created on digital video cameras and digital cameras that record video; THM files may or may not be transferred to the computer depending on what software is used to import the video; each THM file shares the same filename as the video clip it represents, i.e. "clip001.avi" and clip001.thm."

When trying to transfer photos to my computer the camera can't get past 41 although there is more than 100 to transfer. Rebooted computer, unplugged transfer cord and plugged back in, rebooted again,...

Have you got space on your computer to save the pics? 41 is not a 'regular' number in computing... what make and model of PC? What operating system are you using?

Canon Power Shot SD300 Broken Screen

pretty easy to replace the screen, i suggest buy SD300 from ebay that has lens problem, but it is known for sure that screen is working, you might find one for $20-30, also look for SD200 you might find it cheaper and it uses the same screen as your SD300

Memory Card is locked up?

Hi Phatback, There should be a switch on the card, move it in the opposite direction. If this does not work, format it in your PC. Please let me know if this works. Best regards, nightdiver
