Well, for 1 GB, it usually holds maximum of 240 songs. So, u have to multiply it by 16 since its a 16 GB player..However, it will depend on the one capacity coz some have large files (e.g. videos). ok? Cheers!!!

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,
right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Songs

a 1 GB MP3 Player will hold roughly 256 songs. This is an Average and will increase or decrease based on the file size of the songs you are trying to add. I used 4 MBs, which is the average song size.

Philips GoGear Glitch

Make sure that there is available memory. If there is, then you will need to do a firmware upgrade and reload the songs onto the player. If you already have the latest firmware, then you will need to reformat the player either in Windows Media Player or the computer. If that fails, use the repair function in the Philips Device Manager.

My RCA H106A is driving me nuts

When the person said 1000 songs, that's only if all the songs are about like 4 minutes long and of a certain bit rate, so around 128 to 196 kbps. Really, it all comes down to the size of the music files that you put onto the mp3 player. As for there being another folder with the songs in them, I've looked through all the visible folders to find the older songs but I wasn't able to find them. My problem with my H106A is that the older songs stay in the mp3 player and I can't find a way to delete them. I can tell you that they could have a hidden folder, but that is not very likely it.

How do i delete songs from my mp3 player?

Mp3 Players rarely if ever hold as many songs as they advertise - the numbers on the box, spec sheets are "ideal" numbers based on unrealistic 2-minute long songs all in mp3 ultra-compressed format. Although there are exceptions, I have found that, in general, 6GB = 1000 songs, 2GB = 400 songs, 1 GB = 200 songs. Very long audio files, audio books, etc will throw these numbers WAY off.

MyMusix's PD-6030:
If you are using Windows Media Player 11, go to the sync tab and make sure it is displaying only the files on your Mp3 player, and not every file stored on your Computer's hard drive. Click once on a song you want to delete, and then hit the delete button on your computer's keyboard.
If your not using Windows Media Player 11, then read pp. 17-20 of your user's manual, available at www.mymusix.com

Connection

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Yahoo Unlimited does not download the songs directly to the Mp3 player - you must download the songs to the computer first, and then use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs from the computer to the player. Check your subscription for Yahoo Music - the lower level subscription does not allow you to transfer songs to an Mp3 player - you will have to upgrade the subscription. also, check the individual tracks - I cancelled Yahoo Unlimited because on many songs, you have to pay extra for the song even if you have purchased a subscription.

1 gb mp3 player not working

Same thing happened to me. I was using windows media player to sync my song and it says my player was using 260 mb of space even though it was formatted time after time. I simply loaded as many song as I could fit on the player. When I unplugged it and plugged it back in, windows media now showed that missing 260 mb of space as available. The only catch is that the song I had already uploaded on to the player were not shown on the sync list.
