Try replacing the battery on the motherboard. It will flash if the battery is left out.

Event Viewer in the MMC I bet shows red flagged events, need to right-click for info. What I actually DO: UNPLUG the Dell and plug it in and reboot, unless defective drive or whatever, blue light is back.

You should get into the System Event Log and review the records. The orange LED speaks to a much larger number of errors than just the CMOS battery.

Luz naranja parpadeante?

That depends on what is flashing orange. Please be more specific, and please post in English. In general, flashing orange lights on Dell servers mean something is wrong. Installing and running Dell OpenManage System Manager will usually tell you exactly what is wrong.

What happens if the power button to the Wii turns orange for a while and sometimes, when it does that, the disc inputter flashes blue? It only goes back to normal when I unplug it for a while then plug it...

The blue light means you got a message from another user or nintendo has an update for you. The orange power light means your wii is on standby and the red light means your wii is completely powered off.

I have a blue vertical flashing light showing just above the Dell emblem. In the past there has been a solid light. I have checked on OpenManager which indicates all is well but I do not like unexplained...

Great thanks,

That's just a system indicator flash. Solid blue means on and normal, blinking means someone either turned on the system indicator in the management software or bumped the indicator switch on the back of the server. This was designed to make easier transitions from back to front when working with multiple servers in a rack. To turn the indicator off, just go to the back of the server and find the Ethernet and usb ports that are together. If the usb is the bottom and Ethernet port is the top then just to the right you should see a small blue blinking light and a button, pushing the button wil turn the blinking off.

Again, no worries this is just a "locator beacon" not an error message, if the light ever blinks yellow then you have an issue.

Hope this helps FixYa,

Chris

Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, no power light, battery light flash orange, wifi light flash blue and orange I bought the Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop in 2008. I use the laptop as a desktop, so I never plugged...

Since it sounds like an issue with the Power first try to release flea power.Disconnect the charger, remove battery, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.Reconnect the battery and charger.Turn on system and check if it turns on. For further help please check Dell Inspiron 1525 Manual. Also confirm if the light on the charger stays on,when connected to the system.

Dell poweredge 830 server orange flashing light instead of solid blue. No fault on screen. any ideas?

its the cover switch. there is a small push switch on the front panel that detects if the front cover has been removed, either the switch is defective, or the cover is not seating properly to close the switch.

Dell poweredge 1650 is beeping with blue flashing light

Flashing blue light is harmless - it simply means the Identify button has been pushed. There is a small button with a white, cursive 'i' on the front and back of the server - pressing this will make the light flash blue (or make it stop).

Go to Dell's support site and view the manual for the 1650 for an explanation of the beep code - identify the pattern of the beep.

If you are still able to get to Windows, use OpenManage Server Administrator to check the Hardware logs and RAID array.

Help with server boot problems flashing orange lights etc

Seems the RAID is broken. You may see which drive (hot swappable?) it showing an error code with its lights in front. If not, I would suggest re-seated all drives.
If you see one that is not right, remove it all the way, while it is on, then push it back in, it should try to rebuild the raid on the drive, if it still fails, you will need to replace the drive.

Not sure what RAID you are using or how many drives, so feel free to explain more.

G'luck
