I have a Studio 42" rear projection tv, The picture is incredibly bright, have tried to adjust the brightness but it doesn't help....can anyone help me?

I believe these were made by Samsung. You will need to search for a service manual for more specific information.

HCL652W picture faded will bulb replacement fix this

I would say that it is not worth replacing the bulbs. I had a similar experience with an old rear projection TV like that and I just cleaned all the dust out of it as well as I could. i cleaned the back of the screen, the mirror that the image reflects off of, and the bulbs themselves. I used a dry micro fiber cloth so as not to scratch anything. doing this might help you some, but if it is working and it is bright enough for you after a few minutes, I would just live with it until you can upgrade to a newer TV.

My picture isnt bright and is slightly blury, why?

It is an older set but when was the last time the 3 lens were cleaned? If a while that may be your problem.

These sets were designed to have the lens cleaned once a year--there is also a mirror but unless very dusty or a smoker not usually an issue.

Remove back cover with set unplugged---note the three large black round housings on top----clean the lens with a paper towel with glass cleaner sprayed on the towel.

This is the light source for your picture and if dusty picture will be darker and duller looking.

Let me know if questions.

The picture seems to be getting darker. Its not as bright and sharp as it used to be. Its about 9 years old but has not been used very much. Might it need a new bulb or something? 57HX81 Proj TV Color...

simple: remove back cover and locate the three large black lens you will see top and dead center, clean them with either a lens cloth or a paper towel with glass cleaner----they are the light source for your picture and should be cleaned once a year---as they get dusty the picture gets darker and duller looking.\\

Rear projection tv picture quality loss

most of these sets have 3 lens for the three picture tubes inside and also a mirror---if it has never had the lens cleaned they could be dusty and this will diminish the brightness and clarity of your picture---if real dirty the picture will look washed out------most of these sets you can remove the back cover(unplug set first) and gain access to the lens ; clean them with a lens cloth or a paper towel with glass cleaner.

Our Mitsubishi WD 52525 goes to blue screen and shuts off.

It sounds like you TV is overheating and the video is suffering and the lamp is overheating as well. Also, if your TV is over 2-3 years old, the mirrors (behind and below the big front screen) desperately need to be cleaned. Clean all filters and fans as well. (Look on side and behind the unit). Is the TV in a "hot" environment and/or dirty environment? DLP TV's are NOT sealed units. They need to be cleaned every few years to work well to have a good, clear, bright picture.

Tv color not bright enough and just replaced lamp

Clean the small mirror in front that projects the image onto the rear mirror. The Rear mirror always stays good but the front small mirror gets dusty and the colors and bright levels get affected and appear dim.
