My Karma's screen is black. The phone is on, and I can make calls, but I there is nothing on the screen. Turning the phone on and off hasn't helped.

simply call 1-800-331-0500. Tell AT&T that a friend gave you this phone because your Net10 phone (or what ever sim phone is popular in your area) isn't working and you would like to be able to use your SIM card in this phone. If the phone model is allowed to be unlocked they will give you the code with a smile you can hear over the phone.

According to the manual these are the steps. I just need someone to be my eyes can tell me how many times I click down to get to the menu selection I need. From Address Book to select Options --> press center key once
to select Setup --> press down ___times and press center key once
to select Store Contacts to > press down ____ times and press center key once
to select SIM Card ==> press down ___times and press center key once
