I'm using WebPlus 4; and want to restrict access to a page on my web site. I'm using smart objects, user groups (from Access Control objects) to log into the page. That is working OK but I cannot 'Log Out ' of the page and the page is always accessible! I've tried everything; the only way to get the page back to a 'secure page' is to delete the user group and start again.. many thanks

I'd suggest downloading and installing the Server 2003 Administration Tools. There were updates to several over the course of the last two service packs and may fix your problem. They are downloadable via http://www.microsoft.com/downloads. Do a search for Administration tools or adminpak.msi

SOURCE: Domain\administrator has no local admin rights

You may need to edit group policy if this was once in a domain. You may want to try rebooting the machine and logging into the 'LOCAL' machine and see if you have rights that way. Each machine by default has one administrator account but if the server was part of a domain, that right may have been removed. You may need to reset OWNER privileges for all files in the machine.

Myspace and twitter is being blocked by k9 web protection and i want to get on it but cant.how do i bypass the k9 web protection

Well have you installed K9 or your parents? :D. If they did I m sorry to say that its better for your own good ha ha. If not you can configure it to allow myspace and twitter. But still I will not tell you how to bypass since I don't know whether you are a kid.
If you have not already logged in, enter your administrator password at the prompt and click OK. From the Setup menu, click Web Categories to Block. By unticking the tick for social networking (if it is ticked) you will be allowed to access any social network. Save the configurations.
Click URL key words Check whether those URLs have been blocked (full url and / or by words. You can clear the saved settings by allowing them.
There is another way of unblocking the site.
To override a blocked Web site: 1. On the Category Blocked page, choose an option under Allow This Site. The following figure shows an example. 2. From the Allow access to list, click one of the following options: • for 5 minutes to allow temporary access to this site for the next five minutes. • for 15 minutes to allow temporary access to this site for the next 15 minutes. • for 30 minutes to allow temporary access to this site for the next 30 minutes. • for 60 minutes to allow temporary access to this site for the next 60 minutes. • permanently to always allow access to this site. If you choose this option, one of the following happens: • If the Web site was blocked because of its category, the Web site is placed in the always allow list • If the Web site was blocked because it was in the always block list, the Web site is removed from the always block list. 3. Click Allow This Site. 4. You are required to enter your K9 Web Protection administrator password to confirm the action. This is how the "Block access by time of the day" works.
K9 Web Protection enables you to restrict the time of day users can access Web sites. If there are specific times when you do or do not want your family accessing the Web, this feature assists you in enforcing that policy. To restrict Web browsing access times: 1. Start K9 Web Protection 2. From the top menu bar, click Setup. 3. If you have not already logged in, enter your administrator password at the prompt and click OK. 4. From the Setup menu, click Time Restrictions. You have the following options: Unrestricted NightGuard Custom.
Just select the Unrestricted or modify Custom to re adjust the settings.
Adding a web site exception (Advanced). This is how its done.
You can create exceptions for any of the following reasons: ? Web sites that do not belong to any category ? Web sites you know your children access frequently, so you can make sure you enforce the appropriate action (allow or block) ? To allow access to specific Web sites that belong to a category that you otherwise want to block To set up Web site exceptions: 1. Start K9 Web Protection 2. From the top menu bar, click Setup. 3. If you have not already logged in, enter your administrator password at the prompt and click OK. 4. From the Setup menu, click Web Site Exceptions. Then exceptions can be added.
To remove the exception just remove the setting or add it to Always Allow.
To override a block and access blocked Web pages, you must enter the administrator password you configured when you installed K9 Web Protection.
Special cases.
If a Web page was blocked because it was on the always block list or because it is classified in a category you chose to block, you can ask Blue Coat to review the Web site’s rating as follows: ? You can request Blue Coat associate the Web site with more categories ? You can request Blue Coat reclassify the Web site, if you believe the categorization is incorrect.
Enjoy!

Hi..I've got the evaluation taster set up on my 10.4 Mac. However it won't let me even get onto hotmail. What have I done wrong please?!

Go to this link below to download a manual for your software:

http://www.intego.com/pub/Manual_CBX4_en.pdf

From page 63 in your manual:
Using Web site Exceptions
In addition to using ContentBarrier X4’s built-in filtering categories, as described above, you can also restrict user access to certain web sites. You can add specific sites that are always allowed, and others that are always blocked. (You also have the option to only allow web access to certain sites; see Restricting Web site Access below for more on this
option.)

Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else. It would be very kind of you if this does work for you to please rate me or leave a short note. I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

How can i block certain website (mostely the torrent site)parentally. And prevent from downloading the torrent PERMANENTLY.

I use TrendMicro (about $40/year for three machines). You have decent parental control with it. You may also use "Resticted Sites" settings in Internet Explorer but it may not be as secure for you. The TrendMicro software requires a password to allow settings to be changed...not sure about IE.

I want to make a system for viewing exam schedule but i don't know how. please help

Are you trying to set up a web page that is accessible to a certain group. This can readily be done be establishing a free account at www.windows.live.com
Then use the skydrive feature to upload files to your webspace, create a group you want to make it accessible to, and set your preferences and profile characteristics to limit who can access those pages, and how they must access them. Then you simply add the list of people to your group, and direct them to the site.
There's a bit of a learning curve involved, but worst case scenario is the schedule is open to public view. Just make sure you restrict group member's access to the core files, or someone may hack your schedule.
Consult this link for an overview: http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=live_folders&market=en-US&querytype=keyword&query=qaf&tmt=&domain=cid-f8eea3ee83bd9d35.skydrive.live.com&format=b1
And use the help area inside windows live to learn your way around.
Good luck!
