I dont see an LED back lights listed for that unit. This means it uses CFL lights. The link I am posting for this is a major parts supplier, as you can see the power supply for the back light is out of stock, you can use the info there to get the OEM part number and then search for it on ebay etc. Good luck because the unit is obsolete and you may end up having to get the board repaired. https://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=1913+tdxb+
Might be your backlight inverter...do you have sound? If so, hold a flashlight up to the screen when it's turned on and if you see images...that is probably the culprit. Try these guys for parts, they have been great to me in the past....ShopJimmy.com.

you would have to take the back off of the TV and manually(carefully)
pull the disc out with a pair of needle nose pliers..if you force it
too much...you will ruin the drive mech...sometimes people put a second
cd in the player without realizing there is one in there...other times
the dvd player just stops working because it has failed.....you may
need a new dvd mechanism as i have seen the drive mechanism on these
units go bad often.you can order them through Philips for about
$100.00...and it's not too hard to install
