360 error code e79 and flash code 1033?

Hi, when my HDD is in my 360 i can pay games for 20 mins or so but then it crashes and comes up with 1 red light every so often and error code e79. when i do 'sync and eject' i get an error code (1433) and convert it to get 1033. now if i remove HDD the 360 will still crash after 20 mins or so. Both occasions of crashing usually happen when there is a load/save or even fast moving action.

The same thing is happening to me, after 2 minutes one red light comes on with an E79 error code and a 1033 flash code.
I think it is a problem with the GPU, or CPU.

Yo, Dude the solution for this is send it to ms. You have a file system corruption and the file xam.xex cannot be started from the hard disk because that is the file that does loading, reading and saving of game files.
So the only way is to send your hard disk to Microsoft to get it replaced or buy a new hard disk.

XBOX 360 Error Codes

There are several error codes you can get with an XBOX 360, the first step to resolving any problem is finding the root cause. The fault codes are primarily shows on the "ring" on the front of your console (this is the ring split into 4 segments that shows when controllers are connected and what player position they are).

  • 1 SEGMENT FLASHING RED - Thisindicates a displayable error code, the specific error code will bebeing displayed on the TV you have it connected too.
  • 2 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - The console has overheated.
  • 3 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - This is the somewhat infamous RROD (Red Ring Of Death).
  • 4 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - AV cable not detected.

If you have 1 segment flashing red indicating a displayable specific error code then you can identify the fault from the list below.

  • E45 - Update Error.
  • E64, E65, E66 - DVD Drive Error.
  • E67, E68, E69, E79 -Hard Drive Error.
  • E71 - Update Error.
  • E72 - Unknown.
  • E73 - General Hardware Error.
  • E74 -AV cable error.
  • E76 - Unknown.
This is a basic overview of all the fault codes for the XBOX 360, for more in depth information on the faults and how to repair them please see my other tips!

Thanks!

Xbox-360 elite lower right hand red flashing led light code error E73

If you get the Xbox 360 1 red light message, it means that the problem is either with the DVD drive, or with the hard drive.

Fortunately, the Xbox 360 1 red light message is not something that you should worry about. In order to identify which of the two drives the Xbox 360 1 red light messages is referring to, just look the code number that the screen displays. DVD drive errors are identified with the codes E64, E65 and E66, whereas hard drive errors are identified with codes E67, E69 and E79.

Once you identify which error the Xbox 360 1 red light message is pointing to, fixing it is really easy. The guide available at Fix-xbox360.info will tell you what to do in each case, as well as what to do in case you get any of the other Xbox 360 lights messages. Check it out.

Got a green light in the centre and bottom rt is red, can`t do a thing with it,any ideas?

When only 1 of the 4 green lights that are located around the start button flashes red and the screen flashes an error code number, it means that you've got the Xbox 360 1 red light message.

once you have found out if its the hard drive or the dvd drive then this is the part that needs replacing.
you will either need to get someone to do it for you or if you have some idea what you are doing then it is something you can do yourself, always check to see if you have any warranty left and if you do take it back if not then you will need to pay someone to do the work for you.

if you are doing it yourself then take it from me its not easy taking the case off let alone changing the parts so if you are going to do it yourself use google and fine an xbox 360 repair guide and this will then give you step by step instructions on taking the case off and removing any parts you need to remove

My xbox got one ring with error code E79 or E71

Well, E79 and E71 are different things.

The E79 is an error code representing a Hard Drive error. It could be the HDD itself or its a connection problem with the hard drive. Try playing your 360 without it and see what happens.

E71: possibly a dashboard update error, there is no solution at present the console must be sent back to MS for repair. Try resetting your console, or Power Off, remove the HDD if you have it. Reconnect the HDD.

Nooooo

Here is what I found for error code e79:
E79: Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it.
According to tmbinc: E79 is the error code if xam.xex could not be started, i.e. probably a file system corruption.
You might want to get in touch with microsoft and see what they suggest to fix this problem. Here is a link to their support site:
