Dell 3300mp Projector No Signal found to Digital DVD

I picked up a new HDMI to M1da cord, and when hooked up to both the Dell projector and a new Sony 1080 dvd..No signal is found. Is does find the s-video signal..

It worked for a second then black or blue screen..The dvd player is the DVPNS700H-B. I tryed a few things no luck. Any ideas would be great!!

I have the same problem with a 4100mp, that I have connected to a ps3 using a HDMI cable and a hdmi to m1da adapter. If it finds the signal, it flashes on and off, and then goes back to searching for a signal.

When I connect the projector through HDMI to M1-DA cable, the basic DVD player screen comes up with 1080i resolution but when I play DVD, it is has Black screen. Tried 720 or lower resolution but the same problem.

I hooked up the M1 to HDMI adaptor to the HDMI input on the new digital comcast box trying to upgrade to HD. I get sound and can change channels but get no picture. It works fine with s-video and composite t nothing on digital.

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP. HDMI won't work. You'll need to run over component or VGA.

I am trying to find out how to get into the service mode on a Dell 3300mp projector. I had a color wheel go bad and I found a replacement. The colors are now off so I believe I need to make an adjustment...

there is a sensor on the wheel which sets the timing of the wheel to match the dmd. make sure you got the right colorwheel. or you might have to send it in to dell.

sound form your projector? or from your speakers? set the volume of your projector to maximum. then check your connection cables if good your speakers if working. check all your component have pwoer supply.

you cannot pass a signal through a usb input. USB inputs on a computer are usually used from firmware upgrades or mouse control depending on projector.

you have to turn on the output you want to use in the system perfrences, with the kit plugged in and on.

No input detected on projector

it sounds like the A/V reciever does not upconvert the component signal to HDMI. Not many do. The Marantz recievers will (SR6001, SR8001, etc..). Also bear in mind that HDMI cables are finicky and may require amplification over a few meters long.

Problems using HDMI

I've had a problem with the HDMI connector, had it replaced twice while my VPL-HS60 was under warranty. This connector seems very fragile, the first time I was not getting any signal from HDMI, so the repair shop ordered a new connector and replaced it, a couple of days after the it was not working again and found that they had to solder it back on the board. If you're not getting a signal from HDMI anymore that could be your problem.
