You should check the filter at your oil barrel if you have one there and loosen the small vent screw to bleed the filter and line. You can also check the strainer in the fuel sump but remember to turn off the fuel at the barrel before removing the strainer from the sump. Also press the float reset button on the full sump. You can loosen but not remove the fuel line on the back of the heater if needed to get the fuel flowing. Be sure to place something under it to catch the kerosene and have some rags handy.

My Toyo Laser 30 has an error code EE 5 and I can't find any info on that particular code. Help?

Call manufacturer or Installer - Direct Vent Furnaces are not a DIY service. Carbon Monoxide is deadly and can easily be emitted if there is something wrong with the heater. Get professional help before anything further is done, as it needs a full inspection for your safety.

I have a toyostove laser 56 that blowback exhaust during windy days. Is there an easy fix? Tom

Three times recently I got the EE 2 error. Each time gunk had built up where the tube goes into the firebox. A delicate scraping with a wire solved the problem. Now, what causes the gunk to build up?

I let my tank empty before refueling and now my toyo laser 56 has a ee 2 error on it how can i fix this?

You may have an air bubble in the fuel line or the filter (if you have one at the fuel barrel) may be clogged. The filter has a vent screw on top and you may need to vent the filter to get the fuel flowing. There is also a strainer in the fuel sump that may have gotten clogged.
Another thing is to push the red float reset button on the right side of the heater. If the float is latched up you will feel a little resistance and hear the float drop. Only press the reset button momentarily. It is not a primer button.
You can get a bowl and some rags to set under the line where it connects to the back of the heater and then loosen the line to make sure you are getting kerosene to the heater.
The fuel pump makes a loud ticking or thumping sound if it isn't getting any fuel.
Let me know if this helps or you need more advice.

Toyo stove laser 56 error EE56 what to do

I don't see an error code EE 56 in the service manual. Please verify the error code. What I do see is EE 6. This can be caused by several things. Most commonly a fuel flow problem or out of fuel. If you are out of fuel or the fuel just isn't making the fuel pump, the pump will make a loud ticking or thumping sound. You should check your filter at the oil tank, if you use an external tank. You should also check the strainer in the fuel sump located on the right side of the heater. Two screws hold the cover on. You need to turn off the fuel valve at the tank and have some rags to soak up the kerosene that will come out when you remove the two screws. Take the top off the fuel sump and inspect it also. Kerosene sometimes gels up after sitting a while. The fuel nozzle also gets clogged with carbon from time to time. You can clear this by removing the fuel line from the combustion chamber and inserting a piece of wire into the hole about 2 inches. Another possibilty is a dirty flame rod. You can clean it with some steelwool. Let me know what you find if this doesn't help.

Toyo Laser 56 EE2 message--no flame? valves open and clean filter

You might of got type 2 fuel oil. If it is a smaller tank sometimes the fueler doesn't clear the line before filling and you'll slug down some type2 which will snuff the flame.
Check to see if the filler kinked a line outside while filling.

Ee 12 code

Hi alaskasteve,

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks area of Alaska. EE12 is the error code for overheating. Most likely you have a Laser 30 giving you this error code. The most common reason for the EE12 error code is that the Toyo is not getting enough air circulation across the heat exchanger and causing it to overheat. Look at the back of your Toyo where the black frame around the circulating fan and flue pipe is. You will see a screen that slides in a slot at the back of the Toyo. Slide the screen out and clean it. If you have a smoker or the Toyo is in a kitchen area where it collects nicotine or grease then you may need to clean it with hot water, detergent, or 409 Cleaner to get the sticky residue off that the dust fuzz collects on and clog your screen. EE12 can be caused by a couple other issues, but they are more rare. Try this first and let me know if it works! toyotechnician

EE2 code for toyo laser 56

Hi sammysamual,

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks areas of Alaska. An EE2 error code is usually fuel related. What does your Toyo do before the EE2 code shows up? If you let me know the sequence of events, I can trouble shoot the problem for you. toyotech

Toyostove Laser 30 has error code EE 22

EE-22 means that the unit has tried three times to ignite. after this it goes into a "lockout" condition. remove the power and the computer will reset itself. it will then try to re-ignite. check for a fuel blockage, dirty filter etc. if there's water in your kerosene it will not fire! kerosene floats on top of water. bleed your system until you get kero and no water. use a gas additive to remove water. dry-gas will work. just empty the bottle's contents into your tank. on your computer type in toyostove error codes. this will take you to toyo's site and explains the error codes.
