I just bought and received the CAVS 105G system to mainly use as a karaoke system. I bought super CD+G music disc to play in the system. When I put the disc in, it takes about 1-2 minutes to load then I get a "No Disc" message and cannot play my CD+G karaoke discs. I've tried playing regular movie DVD discs in the player and those load up fine. This is a brand new system, so I have no idea why this problem is occurring?!
I also have a cavs player with a tray that sometimes will not open....and I have been playing with it now for a couple weeks....it looks like I might have the thing working after using small drops of baby oil to lubricate the mechanism.....so,take the cover off, if you push on the cassette drawer when you ask it to open, it should open....then you can apply a bit of the baby oil to the workings inside.....also, shut down the power when it is halfway open, makes access to the works much easier ....worth a try....I asked the same question on the cavs site, got no answer
Just got the CAVS 105G and the tray will not open. Could there be a shipping brace that needs to be unfastened in order to open the tray?
