When you purchased the printer does it has a installation CD on it? If does insert the CD on the CD or DVD ROM and install it. If doesn't have download it in this site software.canon-europe.com/products/0010491.asp. Hope it helps you
your problem must be not selecting the right printer... find your printer in that drop down menu (i.e: in my pc is the 692c) and then accept everything else..
No, the USB cable is sufficient. Besides, you may not have a parallel port on the printer. You should install the drivers compatible with your Operating System. Usually you receive a CD-ROM containing the software you need to install. When you run the application it will normally install the relevant drivers.
If you have lost the CD-ROM just go to Brother Solutions Center (Google it). On the Map click/Select your region and enter the regional site. From the instructions. Download the software and install it on the computer before connecting the printer to the computer.
If you have several printers installed on the computer, You must select the one physically attached to the computer as the Default printer. If not, you will have to select the printer each time you print something.
Is the printer directly connected by USB or a network printer? If there are more printer names listed, are you sure you have selected the correct one (from the print menu) before you print?
If there are no problems in this area, then your driver installation is not done properly. You have to reinstall the driver from your CD if you have one , or download a driver and install.
Try cleaning the nozzles of your printer. If it sat unused for awhile, some of the ink may have dried and clogged the nozzles. To clean your inkjet nozzles, open your printer's Properties screen and look for a tab labeled Maintenance, Services, or something similar. If you can't find it, look under Printer Preferences on the General tab. It may take a few times of cycling through the cleaning process to get them unclogged. Check the progress after each cycle by printing a test page.
i think driver u have installed is not support cd label print. u go to your vender who provide u printer. or u have better option to upgrade your driver which support cd label print.

If printers give you problems the easiest way to check whether it's a hardware fault is to disconnect from pc, uninstall driver from add/remove programmes.
re start pc install the printer drivers from the cd rom supplied or downloaded drivers and re connect printer when prompted or after the installation has finished.
This should cure any software problems, so if the problem continues, it's then your decision on whether it's worth sending for repair or buying new.
