Proton pltv 32 no signal

HI I have the Proton pltv 3250. Have had it 1 year from sears and worked great until tonight. I am hooked up with DirectTv and while watching the tv screen went blue, with "no signal" and the red "off" light went on. Every time I try to turn it on it goes green and then immediately switches to red "off" light while the blue screen is still showing. Is this the power adapter problem i am see everyone on this site is talking about? Ive checked all the connections and all seem fine. thanks, Susan

Input selector cycles through all the inputs randomly if there is nothing connected to that input the ne blue screen and the no signal notification comes on.

I have the same problem. It seems the tv is switching from composite1 to composite 2 source.

To turn on the TV:

Turning the Display On and Off
There is a power switch on the bottom of the display and a power button on top. The power switch is used to cut off power completely, whereas the power button turns the screen off but
allows the remote to continue working.
To turn the display on:
1. If the power light on the front of the display is off, turn on the power switch on the bottom of the display.
2. Press the POWER button.

To turn the display off:
1. Press the POWER button.
2. If the display will be unused for an extended period of time, turn off the power switch on the bottom of the display and disconnect the power.

I have an Proton LCD tv that is less than 3yrs old and won't turn on. Last nght it turned off by itself any ideas?

You may have bad capacitors in the power supply! That is a common problem for the PLTV 3250.

Is the protron PLTV 3250 a digital tv?I cant find the manual and I just want to find out if the tv is digital and can we use it with the new digital transition.

The SpectronIQ and the Proton is the same TV.
