TV Stuck in VCR mode

so by a ******* new one

U have 2 situations:
1st U have a tv Key stucked or internal control board defective.
2nd U have a broken tv remote control.

Note: Check for stuck pressed keys on TV, if not send to repair shop, for checkup.

Same problem...Went to Goodwill Store, they usually have a large basket of remotes. I found a Daewoo remote for a TV only, HOWEVER on the bottom it has a AIR/CABLE button. The remote doesn't say Daewoo on it only..."Remote Controller R-25B03". The rest of the button of course work with the TV portion of the DVN-14F6N.

just press Stop/Eject Rew/<< buttons (Action) to get setup menu

Go to Radio Shack and get an universal remote control, i have a Phillips Universal for mine. it has a tv/vcr button that also is an "input" button to switch channels to do this.

(1). Go to dollar store buy 4in1 remote control has all codes for all tvs cost $5.00 also you can enter menu on front of tv press menu button on front of tv when menu comes up use your channel up and channel down for up&down menu -- use vol- & vol+ to change settings

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!

go to setup in menu from fromt of set. do 1st time setup ...tell it you do NOT have a cable box. if it thinks you have one it deletes all channels but 3.

I had the same problem when I got the TV from someone and I didnt have a remote. I went out and got a ONE FOR ALL remote and once I got it set up I had it in VCR mode and hit the AV button and now I can get to the channels. Hope it works for you.

Usually the fix for that on a RCA or GE TV is to go into the menu (the button in on the front of the TV) and find channel settings and let the TV autoprogram itself. This should fix the issue.
