    I also get the F13 error on my Kenmore Elite Electric convection oven range (model 790.9912940A. I cannot start the stove (broil, bake, preheat, conv bake) but the stove top units work. I unplugged the unit and it did not fix the error.

    We have exactly the same problem - did either of you get any asisstance with your issue on line or do we need to call for a tech support person to come out?

    I have the same problem, and it seems to have started after cleaning the outside of the oven (whether related or not).

    When I unplug the stove, I can press 'broil' and it gets ready to start, but when I press start the error message comes back.

    I hit Broil then hit start and the F13 ERR failure displayed. Tried to unplug and "reboot" but it continued to give the same error. Will be calling a Sears tech.

    I have the same problem with my kenmore elite convection oven slide in range. Any solutions? From reading the above post, this seems to be a common problem with Kenmore that Sears needs to address. Please post some answers for fixing the F13 error. Thanks for any help.

    I have the same problem. Started after oven was locked all day and tried to unlock it. Have to call tech I guess.

I phoned Sears about error code f13 on a gas range, and was told to unplug the range for 30 minutes. i think she meant 30 seconds - to reprogram the microchip. i unplugged it for 15 minutes or so, then reconnected, and it worked.

Unfortunately, the F13 error indicates that the oven control has failed. First unplug your range and wait 30 seconds or more to reset the code.

If the error recurs, this part will need to be replaced. See http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-elite-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-79046613500/0583/0124160/R0507023/00001?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=79046613500 for the parts list.

I'm not exactly sure if your unit needs part 97 or 97A.

My Kenmore Elite Gas Range is reading F1 on the display....the gas burners work on stove but the oven wont work....any ideas??
The F1 error code is a failure of the electronic oven control. This could be caused by a stuck keypad or an internal malfunction of the control. You will need to disconnect power and wait at least 30 seconds, reapply power and if condition still exist you will need to replace the electronic oven control.

You will also need to check if the oven is overheating. If the control has sensed a runaway oven temperature it will display an F1 error code. This could indicate a failure of the oven temperature sensor.

I AM GETTING A ERROR CODE ON MY STOVE SAB OR SA6 HOWEVER NONE OF THE BUTTONS WORK
This is the Sabbath feature on my Kenmore Elite Electric Slide in Range. My oven manual says to press both the (timed oven) "cook time" button and the "delay start" button at the same time for approx. 3 seconds and this should shut down the feature. I had the same problem, tried the above and it worked.

My kenmore oven is beeping and will not stop. the display shows F-1.
Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacment of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal checksum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

My kenmore elite electric slide in range suddenly had the word error appear and the code f13. The oven won't go on, but the range top works
Need the model number (specifically the 1st 3 digits ) too determine who manufactured it for Sears then can tell what the fault code means for that brand. You might try shutting the breaker off 20-30 mins see if it resets itself.
