I bought the K B Classics Build & Load Track Set and when, I thought, putting the battery in the motor the whole thing fell apart. Unlike all other toys with batteries, the screws were to hold the inner parts together. To load the battery I was supposed to just pinch the sides together to open. Anyway the gears and axles all fell out and I can't figure out how the parts go back together. I am sure it is simple. If you can help, please e mail me.

Dear Danny,
Sorry about that.
Unfortunately, sometimes the obvious is not the problem.
You, or someone, must take apart the whole track and look inside, because I think the problem in internal.
Something broke or wore out inside, causing the chain to break and the sprocket gears to fail.
God bless your efforts.
R/R the inner door panel, slide the window back on track, reconnect the window transmission to the window, (or reinstall the trans) bolt everything back together (window motor, window trans to door etc.) Make sure the window is in the UP position. use the switch to raise the window & keep it up if all is back together before finally installing the door panel ( make sure the switch & other plugs are plugged in before the door panel is reinstalled.) Lights etc. Good luck

This is Bertie the bus. It stopped working so I took it apart. The Philips head (criss-cross) screw gives access to the battery. You're not supposed to take out the screws with triangular socket heads. If you do everything falls apart and you need an engineering degree to know how to put things right. This battery holder is clear plastic, instead of black, so I can see what is happening after assembly. The red wire broke off the motor while I was looking at it so I had to resolder it. The red plate on the upper part swivels, it has an arm that holds the clutch plates together when the switch is on. The long white arm at the upper end of the gear assembly should fit into the slot of the red swivelling plate. I think it is supposed to be a noise-maker. Bertie is supposed to go on the road, not the track and there is a plunger that cuts out the power when it is on a wooden track. This stopped working so I jumpered it to be always on. Good luck.
If the door fell off the track then either the track is broken or mis-aligned. Don't use glue or tape, find out what caused the door to fall off in the first place and correct it.
Your parts store should have a diagram of the door and can tell you where the screws and pins are, othewise you can just pull out all the visible screws (including the one on the door handle) and the other things holding the door on are plastic push fittings. To take these out you just have to find the fittings and pry at them with a wonderbar.
The parts store can also sell you a new track/motor/etc.
i have the same exact problem, tried to put the gears back together myself and couldn't figure it out. i tried to see if i could just order another car car but no luck with that either. please let me know, as well
You have to take it partially apart again. Remove the Cd tray. Look at the bottom of the tray and you will see a narrow track that runs the length and turns an L. The white piece that is between the laser drive and the cd tray motor has a white tit sticking up. When you put the tray back on, be sure the tit tracks into the track on the bottom of the CD tray.
