Sandisk m230 MTP DB mismatch...

Here is a link to get the manual:

http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1304

On page 30-31 it explains how to RESET the unit to the factory defaults. If nothing else, I believe that will clear your DB Error.

Help!

Three possibilities:
1) your music service subscription expired (or the license on your songs expired) - solution: update them
2) You switched from msd to mtp mode - solution: switch to AUTO
3) Your DB has been corrupt - solution: update the firmware from the manufacturer's website, or format the player - see my help file on this under my profile

"MTP DB Mismatch Format?"

The Insignia NS-DA2G needs to be placed in File & Folder mode, and you'll need to have your mac show you all files on the device. Macs will create a smaller file that starts with "._" that contain very little information, but can cause problems with Windows based or Windows preferred devices. These files are not ignored by the PC or certain Windows optomized devices. You should erase these files for the unit to perform normally.

If you are unable to delete these files, you can re-format the device to FAT-32 and that will erase all information on the device. You shouls also hit the reset button (located next to the "HOLD" switch) for about 5-10 seconds to clear the internal settings.

I have formatted it. No songs available when opened the playlist. But when I start the unit it shows "NoSpaceForDB Please Please Delete More Than4.0M.B". The property shows the "0 Memory is free".

"MTP DB Mismatch Format?"

I had the same problem In My Sandisk Sansa, and the way I fixed it is the following: Plug your player in your computer in MSC mode (On your player, go to settings, then USB and choose MSC) Then in "my computer", right-click on the player icon and go to "properties". In "properties" go to "tools" and in the first option, which is "error checking", click on "check now". In check disk options, check both "automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recorevy of ba sectors". It's going to take a few minutes (phase 1 and phase 2 will be displayed). Wait until it is complete. When it is done, close the "properties" window and right-click on the icon of the player and click on "format"! It should say format complete and the player should be then be ready to synchronize files again! Now Enjoy That Good luck!! From:-Javed(Taj)

MTP DB Mismatch Format

If you've already cleared all the songs, might as well update the firmware (that solves most issues).
