The liftmaster garage door openers manufactured after 1984 are set through the logic board from the factory with a setting of 4 1/2 minutes, That setting cannot be changed manually but you can by a premium wall control console that lets you override the logic board settings by simply pressing the light function button that allows you to shut the lights off earlier by simply pressing the button or also you can keep the lights on indefinitely by pressing the button twice! The lights will automatically go back into the 4 1/2 minute mode once the door is operated in either the up or down motion. Hope this answers your question! P.S. The premium console comes with a safety vacation lock also and can be purchased through Ebay or through Liftmaster....Remember the Liftmaster name also make the chamberlain brand and the Sears Craftman openers ...They are all cross compatible on the Premium wall console and have 2 wires on them to hook up (low voltage ) so don't worry you won,t get a shock! Just match the red wire to the terminal marked red and the white wire to the terminal marked white and screw onto your wall! Good luck .Glenn
That isn't the model number you give it is the part number for the logic board. The model number is on the opposite end of the motor unit and starts with 139. If you are asking if the opener should reverse when it hits an obstacle the answer is yes. If it doesn't it is not adjusted correctly or is faulty.
It could be a bad logic board especially if you have had any electrical storms in the area. I would remove and check the logic board for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit board.
Some craftman operator don't have that feature. Are both photo eye lights green? Feature not available. If the photo eyes are yellow and green feature should be avilable. The operator needs to have a three button wall station. With the light on the operator off press and hold the "light" button for about a minute until the light flashes.
your door travel screw is set to go too far on the downward travel. you need to set the down travel. It is set to go too far down. find the screw adjustment on the unit that says close and back off the screw a full turn until door stops short of floor. then start turning screw other way until door just touvhes floor.
