Just install it. No jumpers are needed on a SATA drive.

SOURCE: How to make sata hard disk a slave???

Look at the jumper settings. These jumpers are located near the data cable and the power port of the hard disk. Usually by default, this jumper is set to "Master". To make it a slave, just remove the black or blue jumper or please refer to the jumper guide table printed in you hard disk's label.

SOURCE: Problem with SATA WD Caviar SE WD2500AAJS hard drive model

hey there

there are tiny little jumpers on the hard drive itself there's also a diagram that tells you what jumper to set..basically there's only about 3 options try the other two options then plug it on the mobo and then try to see if the mobo detect it.

one of the option WILL always work.

good luck

Yes it looks like a Hard drive problem.
This error means that NTLDR is missing somehow from your computer, hard disk problem usually or virus.
You can go to that page and follow the instructions exactly as he says and will not have to install windows over and over again

CHANGE WD 400BD HD TO WD 800JD HD

You can add the drive as an additional drive just by setting the drive jumper to slave with master installed and it will give you another drive letter. https://eshop.macsales.com/Tech/manuals/idehdsettings/WD72.pdf

Installing used WD800JD into external disk enclosure

The case must be designed for SATA drives. Once the drive is installed in the case, use a USB cable to connect it to the computer. Connect the power supply to the case and start the computer. There will be a new drive letter present.

There are pins on the Sata drive that have to be set. The good part is that there is a diagram on the device that will tell you which settings are for Master/Primary and Slave. You want to set it up as a Slave.
Sometime the connection ribbon from *********** board will have master/slave written on them. These also need to be correct depending on the computer.

There should be jumpers on the back of both hard drives. You need to set the primary hard drive jumper to MASTER and the secondary hard drive jumper to SLAVE. Here is a picture of the jumper settings.
