White 1599 jeans machine

Umm, an unused old sewing machine sounds like it should be worth a lot, however, in retrospect, machines need to be used and maintained regularly. Most likely the machine needs a thorough service as the oil has probably dried out over time and has/will seize the machine.

Usually the suffix number is just a code which tells White where the machine was made. The 1599 should be close enough to get you going. BTW... Singer bought and digitized a lot of White manuals. You can find them at singerco.com under support.

You can download the manual from the Singer sewing machine web-site. Go to customer support/ product manuals/ and enter 1599. You'll then be able to download a pdf of the White sewing machine manual for free!

to adjust the stich. there is a wheel infront of your machine, adjust it find the right stich of your jeans.

You can download White manuals from Singer. Just go to http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html and type W in the search box. The next page will be a list of White machines with manuals available. They may not have the exact model (as in my case), but there will be a similar one.
