Need a free manual for the janome 344

Help! somehow my spare roll of thread got round around the wheel and i took off the wheel but cannot put it back on. also, i'd like to salvage the thread and put it back on the spool. i feel so stupid. i don't know how i could have missed the entire spool winding away to nothing. i didin't even notice it until i went to change the bobbin.

I've always been able to get a free PDF downloadable manual from Janome. They are happy to send you a manual for your specific machine via email, and they've always been very helpful to me. Here's a link to them:

My Janome M7 has stopped sewing due to an "overload." I have cleaned, changed needle, turned machine off for a minute, unplugged it, plugged back in, and turned back on. What else might I do?

It is a good idea to take the bobbin out and turn the hand wheel. Monitor the turning hook that goes around. See if there is threads or fabric stuck. Make sure the hook isn't cocked. The hook goes around in an indented area called the race.Make sure you put one drop of oil on the race. After this turn the hand wheel and try to notice if there is any changes to the resistance. If not you may need to talk with a professional for repair.

I need a manual for a Janome 360

I didn't find a 360 (free), but a 344 appears to be nearly identical. The only notable difference I see is the orientation of tension control selector. Everything else looks the same.

How to thread a janome l-344

Go to sewingmachinesplus.com and download a manual for $10. It will be well worth it because it will give you all of the troubleshooting tips etc and you will have a back up with the advantage of being able to enlarge diagrams for detail. Good luck.

How do i thread a janome sewing machine model 344?

Hi
I couldn't find a manual on the Janome site for the machine you have but I did find this one for a similar looking machine. It should be enough to get your started on how to thread your machine and what the different parts are for.
